After 3 days there was still no change in Eden. Olivia had barely slept the whole time afraid if she did Eden would die and she wouldn't be there for her.

Dr. Hanson had taken elliot in for a talk about choices since olivia refused to leave Edens side. "I'm sorry Mr. Stabler but her brain activity is low and the tumor has only grown the last 3 days." He said. "We have to talk with Ms. Benson about the choice to remove life support. Leaving her on it will not make her any better. She is only going to get worse."

Elliot sighed and wiped some stray tears from his eyes "so there is really no hope she can get better?"

"I'm afraid not." He said "and I think you may be the only one who can approach this the right way with olivia."

Elliot sighed sadly but nodded. "I'll speak with her." He said as he left the office and walked towards Edens room but stopped in the hall way and leaned against the wall putting his face in his hands and silently cried over haveing to have a conversation like this with the woman he loved and convince her to let go of her daughter and the girl who had become a daughter to him. After several minutes he finally collected himself and walked in to Edens room after cleaning his face. He seen olivia asleep in the chair by Edens bed knowing she must have fell asleep due to sheer exhaustion. He went to the other side of Edens bed and stroked her hair and kissed her head "I'm so sorry edie. I wish we had another choice. I've come to love you and Emmy like you were my own girls and I know this will tear me up inside but I'm afraid it may destroy your mother." He whispered.

He heard olivia beginning to stir and he walked over sitting in the chair by her.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep.." Olivia said trying to wake herself more.

"Its ok babe you need rest." He said with a heavy heart.

"No I'm fine I need to be awake when Eden wakes up." She said which only made what Elliot was going to say even harder.

"Liv....I spoke with the doctor he said things are only getting worse....she has almost no brain function and the tumor is much bigger...baby we have to talk about ....about pulling the plug." He said in a saddened tone.

"What? ...no she will pull out of this she's strong she's not like me she ....she can do this" Olivia said trying to convince herself more than anyone.

Elliot took her hands in his and said "babe she can't her brain is to sick and weak to let her and if we wait she....she'll just be in more pain and we don't want that for her." He said looking in to her eyes.

Olivia shook her head gently "please....we...i...can't." She cried as she hung her head but elliot pulled her in to a tight embrace.

"I'm so sorry olivia God I wish I could change this for all of us." He said trying to keep himself together for her.

After a couple hours of emotions elliot and olivia finally got calm and talked through the decision that had to be made. Neither wanted it but knew they couldn't let Eden suffer. So tomorrow morning they would be with Eden to say goodbye. Elliot made the decision to go pick up Emily.
