Me, Eden and Emily (a Bensler fanfic)

Olivia had made an appointment with a therapist for that Friday afternoon and she would be done just in time to make it to Emily's recital. The first appointment she didn't talk much but the therapist tried to pull as much information out of her as possible although didn't have much luck. When she left she headed to the school for the recital knowing elliot and Emily were already there.

As olivia walked in and took her seat next to elliot she whispered "sorry I'm late."

Elliot put a hand on her knee and said "atleast your here and that will make Em happy."

As she sat there she seen her daughter peek out from back stage and get a big smiled seeing both her parents near the front row and she gave an excited wave. Olivia smiled and blew her a kiss as she intertwined hers and elliots fingers trying to seem stronger than she felt.

After watching Emily dance and seeing how beautiful she looked she found herself wishing both girls were up there but she had her emotions and clapped for her now only child.

Emily came down after the recital and hugged her mother tight "I'm so glad you came mommy" she smiled with tears forming in her eyes.

Olivia knelt down to her daughters level "I never would have forgiven myself if I missed this. I'm sorry I haven't been a good mommy lately....you deserve better" Olivia said.

"Your a great mommy I'm just not a good daughter." Emily said looking down.

Olivia shook her head realizing how much she really had damaged her child "no sweetheart you have been amazing ok. Mommy just didn't know how yo deal with things and she let the sadness take over but not anymore." She hugged Emily tight.

They went out that night and had pizza and took Emily to the park to play a bit before heading home. Once home she tucked her daughter in and kissed her forhead.

Emily looked at her "can we have a mommy daughter day tomorrow?" Emily asked sweetly.

Olivia smiled and nodded "I think that is a great idea. Goodnight my love."

"Goodnight mommy." She said sleepily as olivia left the room.

Elliot was in the kitchen pouring them a drink when she walked in and her kissed her softly. "It was good to see you both smile today.'

Olivia half smiled and nodded "I really did miss seeing my girl....I just wish they both could have been up there."

"I know baby." He kissed her deeply.
