"Angel and Celestine." I say trying to get them to wake up. "Monkey, Seal wake up. We have to get up."
Celestine mumbles.
"Daddy, sleep." Angel replies sleepily..
"No, Angel. Wakey, wakey up both of you." I say trying to hold my chuckles.
Angel has wrapped himself in his blanket tighter and Celestine has snuggled closer to him.
I take the blanket off their bodies.
"Daddy it's cold." Angel states sleepily opening his eyes.
"I need you both to get up. We have to go somewhere before we leave to the airport."
"Okay." Angel says stretching and sitting up. "Celestine wake up." He says shaking her.
"Hi." Celestine replies pushing him off.
"Morning, sleepy heads."
"Morning, daddy." Celestine says moving to sit on my lap.
"We have to go somewhere important before we go to the airport. I need you both to shower and we'll eat breakfast before we go."
"Okay." Celestine responds getting more comfortable.
I smile. "Okay, let's get moving." I say carrying her to the restroom. "Get in the shower and take off your clothes. I'll bring you your clothes." I say putting her down in the bathtub and turning on the water.
"Okay."
"Angel, you're going to brush your teeth while Celestine showers."
"Okay, daddy."
After they're ready, we head to the kitchen for a quick breakfast. We find Katelyn and Ryan already seated and eating breakfast.
"I made pancakes." Katelyn says.
"Good morning." I say. "And thank you."
"You're welcome."
"Good morning, aunt and uncle." Celestine says.
"Good morning." Angel says.
"Morning to you all." They respond.
"Do you want to borrow the car or do you want me to drive you?" Ryan asks.
"Can you drive us?"
"Yes. I don't mind. We need probably need to load your suitcases."
"Yes, I'll do it after breakfast."
"Where are we going?" Angel asks.
I'm taken by surprise, I put the fork down. I need to prepare them somehow. "We have someone to visit, but first I need you both to eat your breakfast before I tell you."
"Why?" Celestine replies.
"But where are we going?" Angel asks.
"First, eat your breakfast."
They nod and begin to eat.
We get in the car and Ryan starts driving.
"Where are we going?" Celestine asks.
"We are going to the cemetery."
"The cementery?" Angel repeats.
I smile at his mispronunciation. "Yes."
