40. Portrait

"Where are we going Kyle?" Angel asks.

"It's a surprise." Ky replies.

"But we want to know." Celestine states.

"You will know when we get there."

"Daddy, where are we going?" Celestine asks me.

"I can't tell you."

"But daddy, I love you." Angel says. "Can't you please tell us?"

"Yes, we love you." Celestine states.

I smile at their attempt to get the information out of me. "I'm sorry, but I promised that I wouldn't tell you." I can't wait to see their expressions when we arrive at the beach festival. They'll love it.

"Daddy, you're being mean." Celestine states crossing her arms over her chest.

"No, I just want you both to be surprised."

"Are we there yet?" Angel asks.

"No, but we'll be there soon." Ky replies. "You both will love it. We're going to have a lot of fun."

"So what are we doing?"

"We are, oh no, you're going to have to wait to see until we get there."

"Monkey and Seal, stop trying to figure out where we are going. You will soon know." I say.

With a huff, they reply with an okay.

"Now we have little wolves." I tease making Ky laugh.

"Daddy." They both say.

"Love you Monkey and Seal."

"Thank you, papa!" Angel exclaims making me freeze and look at Ky to gauge his reaction.

He is surprised, but he is smiling. I relax at seeing his expression. I wonder if Angel realizes what he called Ky.

"You're welcome, Angel." Ky replies returning the hug. He had just won Angel a huge elephant; his favorite animal.

"Can we get on the ferris wheel?" Celestine asks.

"We have to see if you both can." I reply.

"Let's go." Celestine replies taking Ky's hand; Angel takes his other hand.

I smile at how easily they've come to accept him and our relationship. I was worried even when they said they liked him that they wouldn't accept our relationship.

"Daddy, are you coming?" Celestine asks when I don't start walking beside them.

"Yes." I say taking hold of her hand.

Ky smiles and I return it as we make our way to the ferris wheel. This feels nice. I'm happy and the twins are happy and Ky has been the best. He has been patient with me and never once has he excluded the twins. A small part of me feared things might change, but there was nothing to fear. Everything comes naturally.

"You would think it was them dating." I say after I end the call.

"They're just happy that you're happy and that you're moving on." Ky states.

"I know. It just makes it seem they're more excited that I am that you are dating me."

"You're not?" Ky asks pouting.

I smile trying to hold in the chuckle at seeing him pout. "Ah, I don't know. Should I be?" I tease.

"Yes." He nods.

"But you cuddle me too much." I reply biting my lower lip.

"I love you."

I smile. "I love you too."

A grin forms on his face at the realization of what I've said. "You said, I love you too." His eyes are moist with tears.

"Yes, I did."

"I've waited so long for you to say it. I love you!" His tears fall.

"I love you." I say wiping the tears away. I kiss his eyelids. I press my lips against his before I run my tongue over his lips. He opens up his mouth for me. I take his lower lip in between my teeth before my tongue explores his mouth. I feel his hold on my hips tighten. I don't want to stop the kiss, but we both need air. I see him open his eyes.

"You're beautiful." Ky whispers making me blush.

"I love you." I say tucking my head on the crook of his neck. I don't know why I feel shy after I was the one who dominated the kiss.

"Can I draw you?"

"You've drawn me before."

"But not in years. I want to draw you as you are now."

"I'm sitting on your lap."

"You're radiant."

"I'm going to have to move."

"Yes, but you'll love it. Can I draw you Chubby?"

"You really want to?"

He nods. "Yes like I said you're radiant."

Looking at him I can't say no.

He always surprises me, the portrait is so realistic. "It's so real." I state in awe.

"But not as real or beautiful as you." Ky states. "You can have it."

"Thank you, but I think you should keep it."

"I'm going to frame it and we'll keep it in here."

I nod.

He puts away his art materials before he comes to lie next to me. "Today has been one of my favorite days." Ky states.

I smile. "Why?"

"It was great spending it with you and the twins. One of the highlights was Angel calling me papa. I don't know if he realized that he did. Most of all, you telling me you love me." He says giving me a kiss. "Mi amor."

"You've become even more important to him now." I reply.

"I'm very happy. I have the most wonderful family."

My heart skips a beat at hearing him say that. "Family." I repeat.

"Yes, you and the twins are my family. I wouldn't trade anything for how things are now. I love you all."

I kiss him and straddle him. I trail kisses along his neck to his sweet spot. I didn't mean for the kiss to get this heated.

"I want you to make love to me, Cristian." Ky whispers.

I forget to breathe and my heart is hammering against my chest. It would be a first time. Xavier didn't ever want to switch and it didn't bother me. Is he just doing this because I panicked last time I thought I was ready? He had tried to reassure me that it was all right, but it wasn't if I was panicking.

He takes my face in his hands, "Breathe."

I nod remembering to do so.

Seeing my state, he repeats, "Chubby, it's because I want you. I want you to make love to me because I love you and you love me. I trust you."

"What if it you don't like it?" I whisper.

"I will. I love you." Ky says reassuring me. He caresses my cheek.

My breathing is getting back to normal. Am I ready to be intimate with him?

"Will you?" He whispers it against my lips.
