The Girl Who Cried Wolf

Ch.28

(Ali's POV)

     I awoke to see Carter propped up on his elbow twirling my hair.

    "Good morning sleeping beauty." He smiled. Goddess that smile.

     "Morning." I smiled back.

     "Are you hungry?"

     My stomach then let out an animalistic growl.

     "A little." I admitted.

     "You stay here and I'll bring you some food." He told me, placing a lite peck to my lips.

     He stood up out of bed and I quickly realized he was very much still naked. I blushed and covered my eyes quickly.

     "Baby you already saw all this last night." He chuckled.

     "Yeah, yeah. Just put some pants on!" I laughed.

     "Ok fine I put pants on you can look at me." He assured.

     I took my hand from over my eyes and looked at him. He had on sweatpants that hung low on hips and showed his amazing abs and v-line. Goddess.

      "Like what you see princess?" He mocked.

     "Maybe, maybe not. Depends on if I get any food." I teased.

     "I'm hurt, I really am." He mocked hurt.

     "But since your my Ali and I love you I'll still get you that food." He beamed at me.

     I smiled at his back as he walked down the stairs to get me food. I decided to save myself further embarrassment and took the time he was gone to get dressed. I threw on one of Carters t-shirts and some cotton yoga shorts. My bra strap however accidentally snapped me on my shoulder and I hissed out an 'ow'.

     I suddenly heard Carter running up the stairs as fast as he could and turned towards the doorway. He ran in carrying a tray full of food looking around frantically. His eyes landed on me and sighed in relief once he realized I was fine.

     "Are you ok?" He asked.

     I gently snapped the strap to show him what had happen.

     "Oh." He blushed, obviously embarrassed that he freaked out.

     I smiles gently and walked over to him.

     "Im glad you reacted so fast though. Makes me feel protected." I told him.

     "Really?!" He perked up.

     I wrapped my arms around His waist and snuggled into his chest.

     "Yeah. Big bad alpha." I said in a baby voice.

      "Ha.ha."

     "Now come on. That food smells really good and I'm starving I can make fun of you later." I joked pulling him towards the bed where he set down the food.

     He had made chocolate chip pancakes with powdered sugar and a side of hash browns.  My favorite.

     "How'd you know this was my favorite?"

     "Lucky guess?"

     "Eli told you didn't she?"

     "She may have mentioned something about food..."

      "Mhm may have. Come on goofball let's eat."
