In the afternoon, after a particularly difficult night of endless crying and interrupted sleep, Zahra sat at the kitchen table. Her head resting in her hands. Her eyes were heavy with exhaustion, and her body felt like it hadn't rested in weeks. Hisham walked into the room, equally tired and always rubbing his eyes.

Zahra looked at him, noticing the dark circles under his eyes.

"Hisham.."

"Yes? What's wrong, sweetie?"

"Nothing.. I just.. I miss us. I feel like we're always so focused on Adam that we've forgotten about each other."

Hisham sit beside her. He touched her hand and holding it gently.

"I've missed you too, Zahra.. we've been so caught up in being parents that we haven't made time for each other."

"I think we need to make time for us. We can't let the stress and exhaustion of parenthood pull us apart."

"You're right.."

"Zahra.. I know we've been through a lot these past few months. But I want you to know that I love you more now than ever before.. You've been an amazing mother, and I feel so blessed to be on this journey with you.."

Zahra cried and leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"I love you too, Hisham.. I know it's been hard, but you've been the best husband and father ever. I don't know what I would have done without you.."
