Chapter 15

As Zahra and Hisham continued to navigate their financial struggles, they were forced to confront a decision that could change the course of their lives.

Hisham's job had been weighing heavily on him for months now. He had been overworked and underpaid, and despite his efforts to negotiate a raise, his boss seemed unwilling to recognize his contributions.

"I've been thinking.. about leaving my job."

Zahra was shocked.

"Leave?! What do you mean??"

Hisham sighed.

"I'm just not happy there anymore. No matter how much I put in, it feels like I'm not appreciated. And with all the stress we've been going through, it's made me realize that I want more than just a paycheque. I want to do something that actually matters to me.."

"What would you do if you left?"

"You know how I've always wanted to start my own business? I've been thinking about taking that leap—starting a small consulting firm. I have the skills and the experience. I just haven't had the courage to actually go for it.."

"That's a big step, Hisham. We've already dealing with tight finances. What if things don't work out right away??"

"I know it's a risk. But the way I see it, staying in this job isn't getting us anywhere either. I feel like I'm stuck. If I don't take this chance now, I might regret it for the rest of my life."

Zahra silence for a moment.

"I believe in you, Hisham. If this what you really want.. then I'm with you. We'll figure it out together."

"Are you sure? I don't want to put us in a difficult position."

"We've already been through difficult times, Hisham. If you're willing to take the leap, then so am I.."

As the business started to grow, Zahra feel proud of the man she had married.
