As the news of Zahra's pregnancy spread the couple was getting congratulations from their families.

Zahra's mother offering advice on everything from prenatal care to how Zahra should prepare for motherhood.

Meanwhile, Hisham's mother began making suggestions about how the baby should be raised, including cultural traditions that Hisham hadn't thought about in years. His mother suggesting that they should follow the family tradition of naming the firstborn after Hisham's grandfather.

Hisham knew that Zahra had her own ideas about how she wanted to raise their child, but the cultural expectations from his side of the family were hard to ignore.

In the evening, Hisham sat down with Zahra. Zahra was quiet and her hand touched her belly as she stared out the window.

"I spoke to my mother today, she's really excited, but... she's also pushing for us to name the baby after my grandfather."

Zahra sighed.

"I figured that would come up. I've been feeling the pressure too, Hisham.. my mom's been calling nonstop, and your family seems to have their own plans for our baby. It's starting to feel overwhelming."

"I know.. I didn't expect it to be this intense. But you know how important tradition to them."

"I respect your family's traditions, Hisham.. but this is our child. I want us to make decisions based on what we believe is right, not just because it's what expected of us."

Hisham held her hand.

"I agree. But it's hard.. I don't want to disappoint my parents, and I know they're just trying to help in their own way. But we need to figure out how to handle this together."

Over the next few days, Zahra and Hisham discussed their options with their families.

"Mom, Dad, I know how much these traditions mean to you.. and I respect that. But.. Zahra and I have been talking, and we want to raise our child in a way that reflects both of our values. We're grateful for your support, but we need to make these decisions as a family."

"But Hisham, this is important.. It's not just about tradition. It's about..."

"I understand.. but Zahra and I need the freedom to raise our child in a way that feels right for us."

"We love you both.. but this is our journey and we need your support more than anything."

Hisham's father finally spoke up.

"honey, let them find their way. We've had our time to raise our children. Now... it's their turn."

"hmm... okay."
