At Tails' house, things were tense. Sonic sat on the couch, arms crossed and eyes blazing with anger, still reeling from the showdown with Shadow. Amy and Tails stood nearby, trying to calm him down, but their words were barely registering. Sonic's mind was still stuck on one thing: Shadow.

"Look, Sonic," Tails started cautiously, pushing his glasses up his nose. "Maybe you should just... cool down for a bit. Going after Shadow again isn't gonna solve anything."

"Yeah, Sonic," Amy added, crossing her arms, "you're not thinking straight. Shadow and Perci are together now. You have to let it go."

"Let it go?" Sonic snapped, his voice filled with frustration. "That asshole just walks in, takes everything, and I'm supposed to just 'let it go'? Hell no!"

Amy sighed, rubbing her temples, clearly exasperated. "This isn't about you, Sonic. This is about Perci and what she wants."

Tails nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and you don't want to make things worse by going after Shadow like this. You know how he gets."

Before Sonic could retort, Sticks suddenly burst into the room, waving her arms frantically. "GUYS! GUYS! GUYS!" she shouted, talking so fast that it was hard to make out what she was saying. "I FOUND SOMETHING! REALLY IMPORTANT! YOU'RE NOT GONNA BELIEVE THIS!"

"Sticks, what the hell are you going on about now?" Sonic asked, his patience already worn thin.

Sticks darted over to the table, slamming down a small object wrapped in a cloth. "THIS!" she declared triumphantly, her eyes wide with excitement. "I found it just outside the village, and you're gonna want to see this, Sonic!"

Amy raised an eyebrow, clearly suspicious. "Sticks, what did you—"

Before she could finish, Sticks unwrapped the cloth, revealing a silver locket and a card. The locket shimmered in the light, engraved with the letters "SP." Sticks held it up, her grin wide. "It's a locket, see? 'S' for Shadow, 'P' for Perci! And guess what's inside?"

She popped open the locket, revealing a tiny picture of Shadow and Perci together, smiling, looking like a real couple. The sight of it made Sonic's blood boil.

"And this card!" Sticks waved the card in front of Sonic's face. "It's from Shadow! He left it for Perci, probably as some mushy love note or whatever."

Sonic snatched the card from Sticks' hand, his eyes narrowing as he read it out loud. "'Perci, I love you, and I always will. Yours forever, Shady.'"

His grip on the card tightened, almost crumpling it in his fist. "That son of a bitch..."

Amy's face twisted in disapproval. "Sticks, where did you find this? You can't just go snooping through people's stuff."

Sticks waved her off. "Found it on the ground, so it's fair game! Besides, who cares where it came from? The point is—" She leaned in close to Sonic, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "—you can use this to your advantage."

Sonic's ears perked up, and for the first time in a while, his anger seemed to settle into something more calculating. "Use it to my advantage?"

Sticks nodded eagerly. "Think about it. You've got proof of how close they are, right? You can use this to piss Shadow off, or maybe even break them up. Hit him where it hurts."

Amy's face immediately darkened, and she stepped forward, pointing a finger at Sticks. "No, absolutely not! Sonic, you can't do that! This isn't some stupid game. Shadow loves her, and you trying to get between them isn't going to end well for anyone."

But Sonic wasn't listening. His mind was already racing with ideas. The locket, the picture, the love note—it was all too perfect. He could throw this right in Shadow's face, make him lose his cool, and maybe—just maybe—Perci would see what a prick Shadow really was.

"I don't know, Amy," Sonic said, his voice taking on a dangerously smug tone. "This might just work."

"Sonic, NO!" Amy yelled, stepping in front of him. "This isn't like you. You're not this petty. You're better than this."

"Am I, though?" Sonic shot back, his eyes flashing with frustration. "Because all I see is Shadow walking away with everything while I get left with nothing. Maybe it's time I stop being the nice guy."

Tails, who had been silent up until now, finally spoke up, his voice filled with uncertainty. "I don't think this is a good idea, Sonic. Shadow's not someone you can just mess with. This could make things... really ugly."

But Sonic had already made up his mind. "Shadow's gonna get what's coming to him."

Amy groaned in frustration, her hands on her hips. "This is such bullshit, Sonic. If you go through with this, you're just proving that you can't handle someone else being happy. Is that really what you want?"

Knuckles, who had been unusually quiet during the entire conversation, suddenly chimed in, completely clueless as always. "Wait... what's going on? Is Shadow and Perci, like, a thing now? 'Cause I thought we were all fighting over that sandwich I saw earlier—"

WHACK! Amy punched Knuckles square in the shoulder, sending him crashing to the floor.

"Not the time, Knuckles!" Amy growled, her patience finally snapping.

Knuckles rubbed his arm, confused. "Geez, what'd I say?"

As Sonic stood there, staring down at the locket and the card, a dark smile spread across his face. "Shadow thinks he's got it all figured out, huh? Well, let's see how he handles this."

And with that, Sonic stormed out of Tails' house, leaving Amy, Tails, and a bewildered Knuckles behind. Sticks followed closely behind, eager to see the chaos unfold.

Amy sighed, shaking her head. "This is gonna end in disaster."

Tails nodded grimly. "Yeah... I've got a bad feeling about this."
