The Grand Funeral

Taehyung was back to the Lair as promised to Namjoon. Jungkook was grateful to his hyungs for giving him that one beautiful moment with the love of his life for one last time for a while.

Namjoon and Suga had explained everything to Jungkook about the funeral and how it was on him to make it seem real now.. Jungkook would have to put on a show as if Taehyung was really dead. Just the thought was painful for him, but he promised to follow his hyungs for the greater good.

Namjoon- the strategist, the main brain of the KIMs security detail, was with Jungkook. But that didn't affect Taehyung's plan at all.. Because Taehyung had Elijah.

As per plan, invitations were sent out for the grand funeral. Most of them came down almost a week before to help in preparations and some came a day or two before. But there was one thing that was common in each one of them. Their eyes were on the position of the Dragon Lord- one that could make them the Supreme Lord of the Mafias.

The security was tightened up and all the main offices were locked up. Taehyung was in the safe-house watching everything and everyone in the Lair. Unknown to all there was a camera and voice recorder in each room, hidden well. Taehyung watched every single person from his room.

The day had arrived. There was a lot of commotion, but suddenly the hall felt silent. The coffin of the Dragon Lord was being brought in for the last service. But the whispering all started again as soon as some guards came running in and stood guard.

Everybody started looking towards the door. The helicopter came to a stop and Namjoon was the first to walk in. He came and offered flowers and bowed thrice and walked to the right where the place was reserved for family and friends.

Behind him walked in the duo, Suga and Hobi and behind them walked all dressed in black, in all his glory, Jeon Jungkook with black glasses. He was followed by Jimin and Jin and Jackson.

Why is he here? How is he even alive??

Shameless, isn't he? He let his parents die for the one who is now dead.

Unfilial, who would put a lover on top of their parents??

His lover was a man? A gay?? oh my god!! what has happened to this world!!!

He should've died with his parents too!! But good that his parents died, at least they don't have to put their heads down in shame!!!

There were a lot of talks and whispers going around. But nobody really cared about them. Because they knew better that every single person who had uttered even a single word against Jungkook would be dead by the end of the day.

But that wasn't the end, because the next to enter was the most trusted man and Taehyung's brother-like friend, Park Bogum!! People's eyes went wide to see him alive.

When his people- Jin, Namjoon, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, Hobi, and Elijah saw him, they all rushed to him and engulfed him in a hug. He hadn't care about anything but, Taehyung all his life. Now that he had lost his arm, his was more like a burden, but these people who were like a family, welcomed him with open arms.

"Boogie, how? when?" Jungkook asked because except him, the others knew about it.

"Hey, it's okay. And I'm sorry, if I was a little early, you wouldn't lose your family, brothers and Tae-" Bogum apologized with his head down, but Jungkook hugged him tight.

"Don't, don't apologise. You thought of me, my family, my brothers, you put your life at risk for finding out about the plan, even when you you weren't sure if you would come out alive. That's enough for me. Also, Tae wasn't your only family. I am too, Hobi hyung, Suga hyung too. Oh, this is Jackson. We all are your family. You lost one, but gained so many. So, don't apologise. Come, don't you wana say hello and a last goodbye to him?" Jungkook asked and they all went back.

Bogum knew that this was a very risky move. Jungkook had lost his strongest ally- his parents. Even though Tae had his own plans, this was still not a good move. Taehyung must've known that Bogum would definitely oppose to this plan and so he hadn't told him. But nobody knew Taehyung like Bogum did.

And even though, he hated Taehyung for this stupid move, he still didn't show any expressions on his face. He calmly offered his prayers, offered flowers, and after a small bow, he went and sat with Namjoon who patted his back.

Next was Jungkook, who went up ahead. He looked at Tae's picture and then closed his eyes tight. He didn't even wana think of Tae not being alive. So he just let his mind visit the images of his parents, his brothers being killed in front of his eyes. When he opened his eyes, tears flowed on their own, with an indescribable pain in them.

Elsewhere, someone who was watching this was also hurting, in pain and had to resist the urge to go out and hug the man he love like his life depended on it.

After a short moment with his love, Jungkook came back and sat in between his hyungs. Hobi made sure to hug him and remind him, that his love, Taehyung was alive and that after all this is over, he could go meet him. Jungkook wiped his tears and nodded on his hyung's shoulder. Suga also petted his head. Simultaneously, everybody offered prayers and flowers as if they had really lost their brother, friend and family.

Finally it was time for the burial. The coffin was lowered in the ground where it was supposed to be buried. Everybody then started throwing handful of mud in the burial spot with a small bow. Later, two people who had dug the hole, started filling it up again until the coffin was no longer visible. A name-stone was erected at the head end which read:

"Here lies our brother, friend and the Supreme Lord, KIM TAEHYUNG"

Elijah took the mic from one of his men and then called in for attention.

"First of all, thank you to everyone who made time and attended My Lord's funeral. It was so unexpected. I hope you all continue to support each other and carry the good work which you all did until now under Dragon Lord, Kim Taehyung.

Second, I will now announce the heir to the throne, which was decided upon by My Lord, Taehyung himself."

This statement shocked everyone. Nobody knew about this, not even the closest, Jungkook, Jimin, Namjoon, Jin, Bogum, Hobi and Suga. All exchanged looks and then looked at Elijah. One of the people present stood up and asked,

"Elijah, is it your old age or are you really dumb that you don't even know that only direct family members could be the heir and not just some random person." And Elijah only smiled.

"I know, I know what you all are thinking. There are even among you who have their evil eyes on the throne and My Lord knew this all would happen, so he entrusted me with this matter early on when he knew he wouldn't live longer. Also this man, though not a family member, he is more than a family and the reason that he is being called out, is that My Lord trusts him to be more ruthless and impartial than himself. Please welcome the new heir to the throne of The Supreme Lord of Mafias-"

But Elijah was cut in between by the six shots fired and five men fell of their chairs one by one, including the sixth who had just insulted Elijah. What surprised them was that the five men dead were the ones who had dared to speak against Jungkook earlier.

While everybody panicked and started trembling, running to save their lives, (which they couldn't because the whole place was covered by men with machine guns and how long would it take for them to blow these headless ducklings to pieces!!!), only 8 of them were in their places- Elijah on the stage with mic and the 7 in their seats. But there was one thing in common, the evil smirk on all 8 faces.
