Behind The Mask

It wasn't Taehyung or the masked man or any of our own men.. Looked like they were somebody else and maybe were shot by Taehyung and the man on their way.

"Elijah, why don't you rest? Guards take him back. Oh wait! You can next door. Please." Jungkook requested Elijah az he was old.

"Hyung, me and Jimin will stay here. Rest of you can go back to their rooms. Oh and I will surely call you all, once Tae is back." He said to his hyungs and the others.

Everybody went back to their respective rooms and Jungkook and Jimin stayed back. The doctor was with them too. The medicine which the masked man gave was really effective and because it was given with an hour of the posioning it was even more effective. Namjoon and Jin were much better and their heart rate had stabilized.

The doctor kept checking them every 30 minutes. He was quite thankful to the man who gave the medicine.

Minutes passed, hours passed and it was already morning. Nothing happened after that incident.

When Tae and the masked man came in, they were quite surprised to see everyone sleeping peacefully.

"You see, how can I just let them die? I am sure everybody was tired. But somewhere deep down maybe they were confident about us." Taehyung said to the man.

The man took off his mask and Taehyung turned to look at him worriedly.

"Why? Put it back on. You don't want them to see you, do you? It can mess up everything. You are still my hidden ace. My only option. I know it wasn't easy and I could have lost you forever. Put it back on before anyone sees you." Tae told him his words laced with worry and somewhat guilt.

"It wasn't easy for you as well. You remembered what you did, though no one told you. Weren't you blaming yourself for the last 5 years until I showed up again safe and well? I'm sorry, I could have told you earlier that it wasn't me, but just like you said, we couldn't risk anyone knowing about. I was heartbroken to see you in that state. It wasn't easy yes, but for your safety I had to." The man said his voice trembling.

"When you and JK got kidnapped, I really wanted to come back and kill all those b*stards, even when they attacked you on the boat. Luckily there were people to protect you. I lost it all when Soobin died though." The man said and he finally put his mask on.

They both hugged each other and unknown to anyone, both cried..

They were best friends. Faking one's own death through his friend's hands and him break down was not something easy. Also, remembering that you killed your own friend and realizing he's not coming back anymore was not easy to bear either. But they both did, looking at the bigger picture ahead of them.

It was 7 in the morning. Taehyung went and lied in between his hyungs. Holding both thier hands. The man sat on the recliner which was empty. Jungkook and Jimin were on the either ends of the couch.

It was the first morning in a while that was so peaceful and where the boys actually slept.

This is actually a small chapter.. Sorry I am not updating regularly these days. My life is all messed up (everyone's is..) and I am trying to put it all together back. I want to take my time and slowly get back on track. It also affects my mental health. I don't think too much, but I lack creativity and I kinda experience a block in writing the story. As I got some time I decided to update atleast one chapter no matter small.
