Maya Aseal
Have you ever had this feeling where you want to throw up, scream, and throw up all over again?
Well, I have the same feeling.
Race is fucking kissing me!
My eyes widened in shock when this fool kissed me. He looked like he was enjoying it as I tried fighting myself from him.
This was disgusting!
He even tried slipping his tongue in my mouth. The break room opened, and we pulled apart. I have never felt this disgusted in my life! I looked up to see it was The Boss. He cocked an eyebrow at us as to why I looked like I was going to throw up while Race smirks.
"Maya, are you okay?" He walks over to me.
NO!
"Mhm." I wipe my lips and move from him.
"You sure? You look like you're going to throw up." He reassures me.
"Yes, I'm fine," I say to him, but my eyes glare at Race, who still has a smug look on his face. What was he thinking in the first place?!
"Okay, if you say so." He answers.
Soon, it turns into this awkward silence around us.
My mind and I were trying to still catch up to the kiss that Race planted on my lips. He is not the guy who should be kissing me. It should be –
Maya!
I refuse to say his name, but the way his lips caress mine as we kiss. The way he manages to bite my lip without trying. He kisses me, hungry. He kisses me like there is no other girl but me. He takes his time before he sticks his tongue in and fights with mine.
What am I saying?
Clearing my throat, I say. "Excuse me." I bluntly spoke, walking towards the door while throwing the yogurt away. I have officially lost my appetite.
My body retrieves from the gentleman to the main area before leaving. Though, of course, I'm being stopped. I turned around to see who called me. It was Lisa. I scoff and roll my eyes. I don't tend to be mean – wait, no. I do.
"What do you want," My words were blunt and cold. "Again?"
"Maya, please. He just wants you to talk to him." She begs.
"Lisa, for the last time I-" She cuts me off.
"Just please!" She pleads, clasping both hands together under her chin. Her eyes start to turn watery.
This girl never knows when to quit!
"Fine!" She squeals. "But this will be the last time I go to him. This will be the last time I see him." I grumble the last part as she drags me to Killian's locked-up room.
Will it be the last time you see him though, Maya?
I've come to realize two things. One, Killian's room is the biggest room along the hospital campus, but with no things minus a bed, desk, and blank walls. Two, my stupid conscience doesn't know when to shut the 'f' up. I'm honestly starting to think I'm becoming the patients themselves.
I mean I'm talking to myself more than usual!
"You do?" Lisa stops and turns to me.
Did I just say that out loud?
"You heard me?" She nods.
"You talk to yourself when you're upset." My eyes widened.
I need to take care of that.
"Here we are!" She smiles as we come face to face with Killian's door.
I'm already regretting this as we speak.
"He will be so happy to see you." Lisa turns to me. "He was really sad when you dumped him."
Dumped him?
"Lisa we were never dating!" I throw my arms in the air.
"Not the way he was talking. He made it seem that you two were dating and that no other girl could compare to you. His Mia Bella. His queen. Killian talks to me like you're a girl made into reality from a dream. Maya, he cares for you and will do anything for you. So, don't let one slip up mess with you guys." She explains, grabbing my hand in the process.
What Lisa said made since it mostly came from Killian's feelings. I sigh knowing that she is right, but will I ever let this go no matter how many people tell me to? No.
"I get what you're saying, but do you see myself?" I point to my eyes that no longer have color. "Do you see how there is no way back to having a smile on my face while my eyes sparkle? Or do you see how cold and distant I've become? Your patient was the one who did this to me." I point to the metal locked door.
"He was your patient before me." She checks.
"Well, no not anymore." I check back.
Lisa closed her eyes and sighed. "Will you please go in now?"
I can feel my left eye twitch before letting the guard who stood by unlock the door and step in. The room was dark and cold. A shiver goes down my spine and I walk in closer.
I see a body on the bed, but I'm afraid to get any closer. Killian. He was mumbling something to himself while looking up at the ceiling. He must be in a daze, told by how his eyes danced around.
Taking in a deep breath, I force myself to become closer. Placing a hand on his shoulder, Killian snaps out and turns his head towards me. Tears start to fill his eyes.
"M-Mia Bella.." He lets out a shaky breath.
I closed my eyes when his voice held so much emotion."I'm only here because Lisa sent me," I replied. "Killian, what is it that you just had to beg her to get me."
He shakes his head. "No, she suggested, Maya."
Oh, so she wasn't lying.
"Maya, I took your words into consideration, but she didn't want to let what we have crumbled."
"Killian, there is no us and there is nothing that we built!" I move back causing him to stand up. "The last time I checked we only kissed."
"That's something!" He cries.
"No, it's not!" I cry back, defending.
"You know what, this was a mistake to come back," I grumble and turn on my heels to walk away.
"Is this what you want? To say you don't at least have feelings for me?" His words caused me to stop. "Maya, I know you have something for me while I have something for you. That night we kissed at your apartment, I know you felt something. I mean you let me touch you and kiss you hard." He was now close and behind my back.
I closed my eyes when his hot breath ended up on my ear. A cold shiver running down.
"Killian.." I warn, gritting my teeth.
"Maya." He whispers, leaning into my neck and laying soft sweet kisses on there. I bit back a whimper when he found the sensitive spot on my neck. "Say you like me, Maya."
Without thinking, I spoke up.
"I-I.." I bit my lip and then finally broke away. "I don't because I have feelings for Race..."
