Percy's POV

We had all spent another 30 minutes playing truth or dare when Leo asked, "I'm kinda hungry, is there gonna be dessert?"

"Um, I think I can make some pancakes or something." Piper suggested, "but, I'm a horrible cook, you guys probably won't wanna eat it." She admitted. Calipso looked straight at Annabeth, who was sitting cross legged beside me. "Annabeth! Aren't you like, a really  good cook?" Calipso said.

Annabeth smiled, "I can make something if you really want, and if Piper says so." She glanced at Piper.

"Please! That kitchen is in dire need of someone cooking something beside 2 minute noodles! Make yourself at home! You can use what ever you want." Piper smiled.

Annabeth looked around the room, the locked eyes with me. Her stormy grey eyes felt like she was staring right into my soul.

"Okay, thanks Piper! But I'm gonna need a helper. Percyyyy..."

"Fine." I groaned, then got up, accepting Annabeth wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer. I placed my hand out for Annabeth, "m'lady." She took my hand and I lead her into the kitchen.

"So... What should we make?" She asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" I say as I take out the blue food colouring from the walk-in cupboard. "Blue chocolate chip cookies!"

"What is it with you and blue food?" She asked, plucking the food coloring out of my hand.

"My ex step dad always said that no food can be blue, so in protest, my mom and I would always make as much blue food as we could." I say.

"Didn't know you had such a back story Seaweed Brain!" She giggled.

"Well, what about you Wise Girl? Have you got anything worth my time?" (ACCIDENTLY MADE A HUNGER GAMES REFERENCE) I ask, raising my eyebrows at her. She looked down, I felt like I was intruding on her past, and I wanted to change the subject, but she spoke up.

"Nope, it's just boring." She turned away and faced the counter. After a minute of silence she said, "so do you have a recipe for blue chocolate chip cookies?" She didn't turn back around, and I had a sad feeling that she was crying.

"Uh, yep, we need some choc chips." I say. I felt bad that I had tried to talk to her about her past. We weren't  friends, and we probably never could be, considering who she  is friends with. I turned around and rumaged around in the cupboard before finding some chocolate chips. "Found them!" I report, I whip around on my heel, to be met with Annabeth, our faces a mere inch away from eachother. I could feel Annabeth's warm breath on my chest, our faces became a dark shade of red. The tension in the air was so thick, you could cut it with a butter knife.

"Annabeth?! Can I borrow your skirt?! Leo spilt vodka on mine!" Piper called from the TV room.

Annabeth whipped around awkwardly. "Um, yeah!" She yelled hurrilly. I ran my hand through my hair, a smile forming on my face.

"We also need, um, flour." I tried to think of the ingredients, but my mind wasn't contibuting. I couldn't stop thinking about what just happened, or what didn't  happen.

Annabeth's POV

My mind was racing a mile a minute, but my body couldn't handle it. I stood there, still as a pine tree. Percy had turned back around and was rumaging through the cupboard for flour. The rest of the time we spent baking was the most awkward 20 minutes of my life. We would mix the batter in silence and hand eachother ingredients with out eyecontact. It was torture, I would of preferred to fall into hell instead of been there.

We walked back into the TV room holding 3 trays of bright blue chocolate chip cookies.

"Yum! Uh- Why are they blue?" Frank mused.

"Nothing beats blue cookies." Percy grinned at me, and a small smile spread across my face. Maybe my friendship with Percy wasn't fucked after all.

We all sat in silence eating our blue cookies.

"So what should we do now?" Frank asks. Leo's face lights up,

"I know! We should build a pillow fort!" Leo stares around the room, waiting for some one to object.

"Yesss!" Jason agrees.

We gathered all of the blankets and pillows from the house, in total, we had over 15 pillows and 25 blankets.

"How do you have so many blankets and pillows Piper?" Percy asks, a quizical expression plastered across his face.

"I don't really know..." Piper says.

"Well, I mean, 3 pillows in each bedroom, and 5 blankets." I say, "easy math!" Percy rolls his eyes at me in jest.

"Of course you  know wise girl!" He nudges at me and gives me his signature troublemaker smile.

After I had finished explaining how we need to place the pillows in a certain place or the entire fort will collapse, we had formed a plan. We placed chairs in a circle to hold up the blankets, and then we made a second fort 5 metres away from the original.

"This can be the girls' one," Piper says, pointing to the original fort, "and this can be the boys one." She points to the newly built pillow fort.

We spent the next 10 minutes moving our air mattresses and pillows our forts.

"Wow! Your guys' fort is so much better than ours!" Percy tells me as he peeks his head inside.

"What does yours look like?" I ask, getting out of the pillow fort and walking over the boy's one. Their blanets were spread messily around and Leo was splayed across the mattresses. "Aha!" I scoff in disbelif.

"What?!" Franks cries.

"Nothing!" I laugh. I walk towards the kitchen, I had spent so much time biulding and decorating I had forgotten about how thirsty I was. As I walked, I checked my phone for any messages from Drew. Whenever I leave to go somehwere and don't tell her, she get's upset. I don't know why, but it's like I can't go anywhere with out her permission.
BAM! My body runs into something hard and sturdy, I look up to see Percy standing in front of me with a blue donut in his hand.
