10) Girl Trouble

Annabeth's POV

I walked to my English class alone. Percy had Math, and Piper had Humanities, so I was forced to be alone. Normally Drew and I would sit together in class. But I have refused to even go near her recently, Drew has always been a bitch, but lately she has just been plain horrible.
I slowly walked into my English class, expecting to see no one I knew besides Drew, but my face lit up as I saw Hazel and Leo in the back of the class.

"Hey! I didn't know you guys had English with me!" I cried, walking over to them. I had spent multiple periods in this class, yet I still didn't know they shared this class with me. I was so thankful to see them that I barely noticed Drew staring daggers at me from the other side of the room.

"Hey Annabeth!" Leo said.

"Hey"

I sat down on the seat beside them,

"Good morning everyone!" Mr Bofis called to the class.

The rest of the period consisted of the 3 of us laughing and giggling while Mr Blofis attempted to calm us down.
"Annabeth, Leo, and Hazel, you three better pipe down or you'll all be in detention" He would say.
Drew stayed quiet most of the lesson, watching us carefully, I could feel her eyes on me. And I hated it.

-----AFTER CLASS-----

I walked back to my dorm to put my stuff away, when a familiar voice calls my name.

"Annabeth!" Percy runs up beside me, "hey! I was looking for you!"

"Oh... Hey..." I turned my head and kept walking.

"Uh- wait." He ran after me, I felt bad that I was shutting him out, but something tugged at my gut, telling me to stay away from him. "Annabeth, I- um... Is everything okay?"

I kept my eyes stuck on the ground. "I'm fine, I need to go." I opened my door, that was the mistake. Luke and Drew were cuddling on her bed, mumbling with slurred words. I quickly slammed the door.

"Is everything alright? What's going on?" Percy stood behind me. I took deep breaths. Why do I have to have her as a roommate?

I did the only thing I knew how.

I ran.

I ran as fast as I could, Percy didn't run after me, leaving me to run aimlessly through the halls of Goode.

I knocked on the dorm door.

"Hey! Oh- Are you alright?" Piper asked, noticing the tears running down my face. "Come in!" She opened the door a little wider and I walked inside, wiping the tears from my face.

Percy's POV

I didn't run after her, I decided that if Annabeth wanted my company, she would of stopped.
As I stood there, watching Annabeth run away from me, I contiplated what my life would been like if I hadn't moved from my old school. I have only spent 2 years here at Goode, but before, I had gone to another boarding school called Yancy Academy. I had only a few friends, but they were great.
If only I wansn't force to move... If only.

Behind me, a door creaked open, and a voice demanded. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I whipped around to see Luke standing by Annabeth's dorm with lipstick stains smudged across his face.

"Um... I was-" Before I could make up some lame excuse of why I was standing outside of his girlfriend's dorm, he cut me off.

"Well this is new. The loner likes to perve on people now too!" He said it in mock sarcasm, but this time there was no audience.

It was just me and Luke.

"I was just walking by." I said defensively.

"Yeah right! I know you have a cute little crush on Annabeth... And I just want you to kno-"

Jason walked up beside me, with Frank close behind.
"What's going on Luke?" Jason asked.

"This little perv tried to sneak into Drew's dorm." Luke pointed a crooked finger at me.

"Is that right?" Jason looked suspiciously at me. "Well, that means were going to have a talk. Luke... you can go, we'll sort this."

Luke smiled, then walked back into his girlfriend's dorm room. For a scary second, I thought Jason was actually mad.

"Bro! What are you doing looking in Drew's dorm?" Frank asks after Luke was completely out of earshot.

"Annabeth opened the door, than ran off. Leaving me with Luke!" I explained.

"Damn..." Jason mumbles. "Do you know where she went?"

"Nope." I replied.

"Girl trouble," Frank murmured.

I raised my eyebrows. "With who?"

"Hazel... I thought we were getting somewhere, but then she just ghosted me, ever since the party..." Frank stared at his feet in shame... I knew the feeling.

I have tried to publish chapters as quickly as possible, which there fore means, they arent the best quality. OH WELL 😁
