Enjoy reading!Theo's POV
Three weeks have gone by since Dom passed away, yet the weight of it still hangs heavy in the air. It's hard seeing everyone in pain over something I've done. I know Dom was the one who started it, but I shouldn't have ended it like that.
Lorena and I have also been having relationship issues. We're not the same as we used to be, and it's my fault. I just can't be there for her.
After eating lunch with the family, I'm about to walk up the stairs until I hear Lorena's voice. "Theo, can we talk?"
I turn to face her. "Yeah, want to come up to my room?"
"Yeah." She nods as she makes her way up, and I follow behind.
When inside my room, I lock the door and settle on the bed, draping my arm around her.
She takes hold of my hand, her fingers intertwining with mine. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, are you?"
"I mean about Dom."
"I should be asking you that question." I deflect.
"You deserve to be asked too."
I sigh. "It's hard. I didn't know him for long, but he was like a childhood friend." I lie.
"You can totally see that. You guys were so close."
I give her a small smile. "How do you feel?"
"I don't know, it still doesn't feel real. I always think he'll walk into the room wherever I am." She sighs as she looks away. "I feel this emptiness, and nothing seems to help it."
"You don't deserve to feel like that." I say genuinely. I messed up her life.
"Neither do you." She leans into me, hugging me tightly. "Thank you for being there for me."
I pause for a moment. We both know I've barely been there for her. She must be saying it to make me feel better. "It's okay." I murmur as I place a gentle kiss on the top of her head.
She reaches up, catching me off guard as her soft lips press against mine. One kiss turns into a slow few, and before I know it, she's straddling my hips and biting her lip sexily as she grinds her body against me.
Of all the opportunities she has had to be intimate, why now? Why after I've just killed her fucking brother?
"Wait." I grab her wrists gently but firmly, stopping her from lifting her top.
I let go, and she rests her hands down with a confused look on her face. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know."
"You don't know?"
I realise I need to give her an explanation because I'm always the one trying to fuck her, so I think of something fast. "It doesn't feel right. Dom didn't even know about us."
She scoffs in disbelief. "Are you being serious right now?"
I wasn't expecting that reaction. "What do you mean?"
"I was the one who always said we should tell him, but you always had excuses."
"They were genuine reasons, Lorena."
"You kept saying 'you need time', 'you need time'. Time for what?"
Fuck, I've dug myself a hole. "Huh?" I voice to buy myself a moment to think of a reply.
