Chapter 28

I woke up the next day, feeling my stomach turning upside down. I rushed to my bathroom to vomit. I felt my head throbbing in pain, parang paulit-ulit na pinalo ng kung ano. I heard multiple footsteps outside the bathroom and not a minute passed, knocks followed.

"Ysa? Pwede pumasok? Ayos ka lang ba?" Deia asks as she continuously knocks. Hindi naman ako makasagot dahil sobrang sama talaga ng tiyan ko at hilong-hilo na ako.

She opened the door and rushed to me. "Oh gosh, Alexandra, give me water!" She shouted.

I continued to vomit in the toilet bowl. Ilang sandali pa ay dumating si Alexa na may dalang tubig. Mangiyak-ngiyak kong ininom iyon.

We stayed like that for a few minutes. Nang mahimasmasan ako, inalalayan ako ni Deia papuntang dinning area. Pagdating ko ay may basket ng fruits sa table.

"Kiel, kanino galing yan?" Kunot-noong tanong ko.

"Matheo sent this earlier." He answered. "Sit, I'll peel some fruits for you. The three of us will come with you for the check-up." He added nervously.

Nagkatinginan silang tatlo bago umupo. Akala ko naman ay umuwi sila kagabi. Si Deia at Alexa ay natulog sa unit ko samantala si Kiel naman ay umuwi lang sa bahay nila para maligo at magbihis.

"Ysa, is it okay if Limuelle comes here? He uh...just bring my clothes and sasama siya sa atin." nahihiyang sabi niya sa akin.

I smiled and nodded slightly. "Of course."

Nathan Limuelle "Lim" Alvarez, the late vice president of Alexa's section, an architect, now the CEO of Alvarez Architectural Company. Deia and him were together for almost five years. Alagang-alaga niya si Deia, hindi sinasaktan, ni hindi niya pinagtataasan ng boses. I guess he knew where Deia was coming from. He's indeed the perfect guy for our bunso.

Wala pang kalahating oras ay dumating na si Limuelle. He immediately gave Deia a kiss on her forehead before giving her the clothes.

"Uy, vice president! Good morning!" Bati ni Alexa bago ilipat ang atensyon sa akin. "Drink water, masama kapag na dehydrate ka." Sabi niya at inabot ang tubig sa akin and I thanked her.

"Pres," tawag ni Limuelle kay Alexa.

"Yes?"

"M-may I ask why Deia wants to include me in her check-up with her OB?" He asked nervously.

Nagkatinginan kami nina Ezekielle. Si Alexandra naman ay napatakip ng bibig. "What the heck? Ginawa na ninyo ni Deia 'yon?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Alexa.

Hindi nakagalaw si Limuelle. "W-well, i-it's normal, right?"

"Amadeia Celestine banal-banalan ka pa! Nalalaman mong marriage before sex tapos malalaman ko mas experienced ka pa sakin?! What the fuck?" biro ni Alexa at nilakasan iyon para marinig ni Deia ang pinag-uusapan. 

Deia grunted out of irritation. "Alvarez talaga humanda ka pagdating natin sa condo!" 

They all chuckled while I just showed a small smile. Gustuhin ko man na tumawa at makipag-asaran sa kanila, hindi ko magawa. May mas mahalang bagay na naglalaro sa isip ko. I want him beside me this whole journey...but how when he was already married? 

Alexa smiled. "No worries, safe ka sa bugbog nina Kuya. Deia wasn't pregnant. Mukhang may isa nga lang na hindi nakaligtas." Alexa grinned.

Nakahinga naman ng maluwag si Limuelle and his expression changed into concerned one. "Then who?" He asked and looked at Alexa.

"Hoy! VP hindi ako!" gulat na sabi ni Alexa at umiling-iling.

Tumaas naman ang isang kilay ni Limuelle.
