My heart raced as I turned to face the familiar figure. The noise of the crowd faded into a dull roar, every heartbeat echoing in my ears. It was Nanami Kento-my past surfacing in the most unexpected moment.

"Why are you here?" I demanded, my voice steady despite the turmoil within.

His expression remained unreadable, but a flicker of concern crossed his face. "This isn't your fight, Akira. You need to withdraw before it's too late."

I felt the thrill of the crowd as they cheered, but I needed answers. With a swift move, I smirked and waved at Aizawa, signalling my decision. "I'm withdrawing, sensei!"

The arena fell silent for a moment, the tension palpable. Aizawa nodded, his expression calm yet firm, acknowledging my choice.

I turned back to Todoroki, who seemed taken aback. "This isn't over, Todoroki. We'll face each other again, and I promise to give it my all next time."

Todoroki clenched his fist tightly. "No, wait. You can't leave in the middle."

"Due to the withdrawal of Gojo Akira. Midoriya will be fighting with Todoroki Shoto." Midnight announced.

I heard Bakugo screaming from the audience, "YOU DAMN COWARD SUNGLASSES. GET BACK. I WANT TO FIGHT YOU TOOOO."

"Next time cracker," I said with a kind smile.

I stepped back from the battlefield. I caught sight of Nanami's approving glance. Despite the weight of my decision, I felt lighter. Someone from my past life is here. And howwwww.

We finally made it inside, and I turned to Nanami. "You've got some explaining to do."

"Yeah," he replied, meeting my gaze. "I've been here for a week."

"A week?" I exclaimed. "And you didn't even tell me?" I pouted.

"How was I supposed to know you were here too?" he replied with a shrug, and I nodded in agreement. Just then, we heard footsteps approaching.

"Aizawa-sensei!" I called out.

"May I know...what's going on?" Aizawa asked, his gaze shifting between me and Nanami.

"He is my adoptive father," I replied, my voice steady despite the confusion swirling around us.

Before I could elaborate, Nanami playfully smacked the back of my head. "I'm sorry, but I'm her uncle," he corrected a hint of amusement in his eyes. I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed.

"May I talk to you in private?" Aizawa asked, directing his focus toward Nanami.

"Yeah, I was thinking about that," Nanami replied, casting a brief glance my way. "Akira, you can head over to the audience for now."

I pouted, feeling a mix of frustration and concern as I watched them step aside for their conversation. With a sigh, I made my way toward the stands, finding a spot beside Ochako, who was eagerly watching the match between Bakugo and Todoroki.

I settled down, trying to appear indifferent, but curiosity gnawed at me. I wanted to know what Aizawa and Nanami were discussing.

Suddenly, I was bombarded by questions from my classmates.

"What happened, Akira? Who was that guy?" Ochako asked, her eyes wide with curiosity, and everyone leaned in to listen.

I sighed, knowing I had to say something. "He's my uncle. And honestly, I don't want to talk about it further," I replied, trying to keep my tone light. The others nodded in understanding, sensing my desire for privacy.

"Looks like Todoroki won," I said.

"Yeah," Kaminari said.

"It's about to start," I said, redirecting the conversation. As the tension in the arena mounted, I turned my attention to the ring, eager to see how Bakugo and Todoroki would face off against each other.

Todoroki created a large wall of ice towards Bakugo. It was careful and calculated. Even Midoriya noted that, as he started to mumble endlessly throughout their fight. He went quiet eventually, but no one knew when he actually stopped.

Bakugo forced his way through the ice barrier, screaming as he did so. He rushed towards Todoroki and evaded said boy's attack. He grabbed Todoroki's shoulder and hair before he attempted to force him off the ring.

Why isn't Todoroki using his fire..?

Todoroki pushed out his arm and swiped at the ground, creating a wall of ice. His body rammed into it momentarily before he began to manoeuvre across the ring with his right side. The blond-haired boy propelled himself towards Todoroki, who reached out and held onto his arm.

Did I upset him? I slid down my glasses and realized. It must be because of his father. Daddy issues.

But then, he pushed Bakugo away.

He's not using it.

"You'll regret making a fool of me!" yelled Bakugo. "I'll freaking kill you! I'm taking the first to end all firsts!"

He began to initiate again. "There's no point in winning against some half-assed punk! No point if I can't do better than Deku! So if you're not going to win, then get the hell out of my face!"

"Why are you even here, you bastard?!" Bakugo began to spin in the air. It looked flashy.

Himura held up three fingers and began to count down. Midoriya patiently followed after her.

"What are you guys doing..?" Uraraka asked, sweat-dropping.

Suddenly, The broccoli boy stood up from his seat and yelled at the top of his lungs.

"DON'T LOSE. COME ON!!"

"DO YOUR BEST, TODOROKI!!"

"IT'S YOUR QUIRK!!"

I and Midoriya watched intently as the half-and-half boy began to use his left side once more. Eyes shimmered.

He's using it!

But as soon as Bakugo initiated his super move, I could barely see a glimpse of Todoroki's face, and how he retracted his arm.

He looked sad.

And then there was just dust and sparks, engulfing the entire arena. But I saw what happened.

Bakugo ended up being the victor of that final match. But, he didn't seem pleased to win at all.

"And that concludes our contest! The first-year winner of U.A.'s sports festival is Bakugo Katsuki of Class A!" Midnight declared, raising her hand in the air.

I could've won if it was not for Nanami. Damn you Nanami!!

By the way, the felicitation part was the funniest. Bakugo was tied with chains and other metal things as he became a dog-like human.

Even Allmight can't take his temper.

First: Bakugo Katsuki
Second: Todoroki Shoto
Third: Tokoyami Fumikage
