37. Sleepover

Today, All Might told me that Nighteye had regained consciousness. Midoriya, Togata-senpai, and I decided to visit him at the hospital.

Inside the hospital, I spotted Shoko in a white coat. "Shoko! Did you accept the job?" I asked.

"Yeah, the offer was really good," she replied with a small smile. "Are you guys here to see Nighteye?"

"Yes!" we all answered in unison.

"Great. I was just heading there myself," she said, gesturing for us to follow. We trailed behind her like obedient children.

As we entered Nighteye's room, Midoriya and Togata-senpai both called out, "Sir Nighteye!"

I quickly hushed them. "Calm down, guys. It's a hospital."

Togata-senpai stepped forward. "I'm so happy to see you awake, sir."

"Right, thanks to Ieiri-san and Gojo-san," Midoriya added.

"It's nothing," I said modestly, and Shoko gave a warm smile. I turned to Nighteye. "You look much better."

"Yes, and I have all of you to thank for it," he said sincerely. He paused before continuing, "All Might is on his way, isn't he?"

I nodded. "He should be here soon. But... what are your plans now?"

Nighteye's expression softened. "I'm going to hand over my agency to Centipeder. I'm quirkless now, so it feels like the right choice." His smile was genuine.

Before any of us could respond, we heard All Might's booming voice. "NIGHTEYE!"

I took a step back, exchanging glances with my companions. "We'll give you two some privacy."

"Yeah, we'll catch up with you later, Sir," Togata-senpai said.

"Make sure to talk about everything on your mind, All Might," Midoriya encouraged.

All Might looked at Ieiri-san and, with tears in his eyes, said, "Thank you so much, Ieiri-san." He held her hands gratefully, and we all laughed at the heartfelt sight before quietly leaving them to their reunion.

At the dorm.

As we settled in, Mina's eyes sparkled mischievously. "Alright, it's time for some serious girl talk! So... who's got a crush?"

All eyes immediately turned to Ochako, who looked like she'd just been caught stealing cookies. Her face turned bright red. "W-What? No! I don't... I mean..." she stammered, clearly flustered.

"Oh, come on, Ochako!" Jiro grinned, nudging her with her elbow. "We've seen the way you look at a certain green-haired someone."

"Midoriya, isn't it?" I added with a teasing smile, leaning in. "You know, you turn pretty red whenever he's around."

Ochako's face grew even redder, if that was possible, and she hid her face in her hands. "Stop it, you guys! It's... it's not like that!"

"Oh, Ochako, you can't hide from us!" Mina laughed, leaning in closer. "Midoriya is such a sweetheart! And we know you like him!"

Toru joined in, giggling. "It's written all over your face, girl."

The girls squealed in excitement, teasing her more, and then Mina's eyes turned to me with a mischievous grin. "And what about you, Aki? You're always so calm and collected, but there's gotta be someone you're interested in, right?"

"Yeah, spill it!" Toru chimed in.

I blinked, a bit clueless. "Uh... I'm not really sure what that's supposed to feel like?"

"Come on, don't play coy! What about Todoroki?" Mina teased, winking. "He's always so serious, but he's a total heartthrob! I have seen him only talking with you when it comes to girls. He also seem to care about you."

"Or Bakugo?" Jiro smirked, raising her eyebrows. "You guys talk a lot, don't you? You guys fight but I have seen Bakugo blush around you when you guys fight."

I scratched my head, genuinely confused. "I mean, I think they're cool, but... wait, you think I like them?"

Mina sighed dramatically, as if explaining to a little kid. "Yes, Aki! That's what a crush feels like."

I laughed, still not entirely sure. "I don't know. They're just friends, aren't they?"

The girls exchanged looks and shook their heads, grinning. "Oh, Aki," Toru chuckled, "You're totally clueless. But don't worry-one day, you'll figure it out."

As the laughter died down, Mina clapped her hands, still eager to keep the conversation going. "Alright, so Aki's too clueless to know she might like someone, but what about the rest of you?" She turned her gaze to Tsuyu. "Tsu-chan, anyone special?"

Tsuyu, calm as ever, shrugged lightly. "Not really, kero," she said in her usual tone. "But I do think Tokoyami's cool. He's easy to talk to."

The girls immediately perked up. "Tokoyami, huh?" Momo smirked. "Dark and mysterious-he totally has that vibe!"

Tsuyu just gave a small smile, clearly not embarrassed. "Maybe. But he's mostly just a good friend, you know?"

The girls shared a knowing look. "Whatever you say, Tsu-chan," Mina teased, making Tsuyu chuckle.

Next, Mina turned to Jiro, who immediately stiffened. "Hey, don't look at me like that! I don't have a crush or anything!" Jiro protested, crossing her arms, but the faint blush on her cheeks said otherwise.

"Oh, come on, Jiro," Toru said, leaning forward eagerly. "What about Kaminari? You guys are always hanging out together!"

Jiro scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Please! Kaminari's a dork, and he's so clueless it's painful. Besides, he's only focused on video games and goofing off."

"Ah, denial," Momo teased, laughing. "But you two are cute together. He's always trying to impress you with his electric quirks!"

Jiro sighed, muttering something about how Kaminari would short-circuit if he heard this, but the hint of a smile on her face gave her away.

"Speaking of impressing," Momo said, leaning back thoughtfully, "I don't really have a crush, but I do think it's interesting how Todoroki is so focused and driven. It's inspiring."

Mina raised her eyebrows, grinning widely. "Ooooh, Momo and Todoroki, I see! That'd be a power couple for sure!"

Momo waved her hands, laughing. "No, no! It's not like that. I just respect him a lot, you know? He's been through a lot, and he's still so composed. Amd top of that I think that Todoroki and Aki look good together." Everyone nodded and agreed with her.

"What?" I said in confusion.

Finally, Mina turned the tables. "Well, since I started this, I guess it's only fair to share! And, well... I think Kirishima is kinda cute, I don't like him but yeah," she admitted, smiling shyly.

The girls gasped and squealed. "Oh my gosh, Mina!" Ochako laughed.

"I know, right?" Mina sighed dreamily. "He's always trying his best to be strong and unbreakable. Plus, he's so positive-it's contagious!"

Toru giggled. "Can you imagine Kirishima finding out? He'd probably turn redder than a tomato!"

Everyone burst into laughter, imagining the scene. We spent the next few hours joking about possible couples, sharing secrets, and teasing each other endlessly. It was comforting to be able to talk so freely, to laugh and feel connected.

"Well, it's getting a bit boring. Let's watch some movies!" I chimed in, balancing on one leg with my hands stretched forward for emphasis. Everyone jumped and said yes.

Then we ate snacks, watched Wednesday and had a pillow fight. I was happy to have such friends...friends. Suguru.
