QUEST OF POWER

CHAPTER 11

Life is strange. It always tests you in the most worst ways which you have never even thought of. In such moments only the belief on yourself that you can overcome this will give you strength.

Whole life flashed in front of Kabir's eyes seeing Aarav his brother, his first ever best friend lying on the bed with his eyes closed, oxygen mask helping him to breathe and red gashes on his skin. It seemed like breathe is being snatched from Kabir from seeing him like this, his feet stayed rooted at the door refusing to cooperate.

But he gathered the courage and went inside and immediately knew it was an allergy attack. He asked about the treatment to the doctor who was treating him, "Sir, the attack was severe but he was bought here on time", "Okay then when he will get up?", he asked while gazing at his brother, "Sir he won't probably be waking up till evening or mostly night, we've given him Antihistamines to reduce the effect of the allergy". 

Kabir just nodded his head and came caressed Aarav's hair and kissed his forehead, "Get well soon beta", he whispered. He was just staring at Aarav when heard the sound of sobs, he glanced at his right and saw Shrey still holding his hand and crying softly, he immediately swallowed his hurt and took him in his embrace and patted his back and caressed his hairs.

"Shh shh baccha don't cry nothing happened it's just an allergy you know right how he get's when he consumes anything that contains wheat he will be perfectly fine till tomorrow, we have to take care of him till he get's better right?", he asks Shrey to distract his mind which succeeded when he saw him nodding his head in affirmation. Now Kabir wanted to know how this happened because in the office Tara knew about his allergy then how did he consume wheat flour. He came outside the room with Shrey and saw Tara and Sharvari there. He frowned seeing Sharvari, what was she doing here, she should be in paediatric department. So he towards them, "What are you doing here Sharvari? Shouldn't you be in your department?".

Instead of Sharvari, Tara answered him, "Actually bhaiya we met in the cafe bhaiya and ordered some muffins and coffee and we thought that they would be made of refined flour as usual but it was of Wheat flour, and when asked the reason they told us that they prepared it on customer request but a few were left so passed those to us", till the time she finished Kabir was clenching his fist, because of someone else's carelessness his brother was suffering he won't ever leave them.

"Don't worry bhaiya we have done complaint against that cafe but right now Aarav sir is our priority, let's focus on it". Kabir just nodded his head and then turned towards Sharvari, "Sharvari what you were doing with them at this time? and if were present there why didn't you healed him with your magic, you do know right you have healing powers then why?", he was so furious. "Kabir I did healed him before bringing him here but it will take time for him to recover as his magical energy is also drained so that is the reason he's unconscious and don't worry the meds will help his magic in helping him regaining his strength, and I met them with coindence nothing special", she didn't told him the reason about her meeting with Aarav as it stress him more so she decided she will tell him later.

He sat beside Shrey and took his hands in it, they were cold so he started rubbing them and then Shrey just dropped his head on his shoulders. Kabir caressed his head and after a while a doctor came out and both of them stood up, "Right now the situation is under control but you should take care of him later as the effects will still linger for a few days. Also his throat will be itchy which will cause him to have trouble in talking and also I will recommend a Cream for the red gashes on his skin and also he might feel headaches, nausea and dizziness so please give him healthy soups in his diets for next two days", doctor told them to which Kabir nodded as he was already familiar with all these.
