As the storm clouds gathered overhead, the Pogues, minus John B, settled into a restless silence in the cramped confines of the Twinkie. The tension in the air was palpable, each member lost in their own thoughts while the sounds of distant thunder rumbled ominously.

Pope sat in the back, pulled out his phone, scrolling through messages, glancing outside every now and then as if hoping for something to happen, but with no service in sight, he tossed it aside with a sigh.

Kiara leaned against the door, fidgeting with a strand of her hair, clearly irritated by the wait. She shot occasional glares at the building, muttering under her breath about how "this better be worth it." Every now and then, she'd cast a glance at Maeve, who was sitting up front and looking equally frustrated.

JJ, meanwhile, couldn't sit still. He tapped his fingers on the armrest, sighed dramatically, then looked over at Maeve in the front seat with a mischievous grin. Suddenly, he decided to jump up, climbing over the seat and squeezing into the front beside her, nearly knocking her into the door in the process.

–Comfortable? –Maeve teased, raising an eyebrow as she adjusted herself back in place

–Hey, figured you might be getting lonely up here –JJ smirked, leaning in –Plus, I needed an escape from Pope's terrible humming

Maeve laughed, shaking her head –Thought you'd be used to waiting by now

–Yeah, but doesn't mean I like it –JJ shrugged, stretching his arms out –And besides, with you here, it's a whole lot more entertaining –He shot her a wink, making her roll her eyes but smile all the same

Suddenly, Kiara turned around, drawing everyone's attention –Did you hear that?

–What? –Pope and JJ asked in unison, looking at each other, concerned

Maeve frowned and leaned forward, sticking her head out of the car window, straining to listen. Silence lingered for a beat before it was broken by a faint but desperate call. "Someone, help!"

–Oh wait, no, I hear that –JJ said, startled

–Shit –Maeve muttered as she bolted from the car, with the others scrambling to follow

They ran, feet pounding against the ground, adrenaline propelling them forward as the desperate cries grew louder. Rounding a corner, they froze, taking in the scene: John B lay sprawled on the ground, his face pale and eyes half-closed. Sarah knelt beside him, her hands cradling his head, tears streaming down her face as she murmured softly, her voice cracking. "Please, John B"

–Sarah, what happened? –Pope asked, breathless, as they rushed closer

–I don't know what to do –Sarah's voice was choked with panic –He needs help, Topper shoved him –She cupped John B's face, her hands trembling as she tried to steady him
