XX IV XII, Arandelle Calendar — Demon King’s Castle, Valded

Sixteen years have passed since the last Demon King fell in a great battle. The throne remains empty, and now the Demon Generals gather to discuss who is worthy to become the next ruler of darkness.

In the heart of the grand and gloomy castle stood an imposing figure—short white hair, dark sclera with glowing red irises. A black fur cloak wrapped around his body, exuding authority. He was Azazil, one of the highest-ranking Demon Generals.

Azazil grinned and turned to his subordinate.
“How did the investigation go, Valac?”

From the shadows between the pillars, another demon stepped forward. He was slim and not very tall, with long white hair covering one of his eyes. His irises were golden-yellow, a stark contrast to his pitch-black sclera. Two small horns pierced through his white hood, which blended into the long white cloak he wore. He was Valac, a Demon General known for his intelligence.

“As you commanded, Azazil-sama,” Valac spoke calmly, “I have monitored the child. As you predicted, their power is indeed extraordinary. They defeated the guardian dragon on the 50th floor of the Labyrinth with a single strike.”

Azazil stroked his chin, clearly satisfied.

“Hmph, so that dragon was your doing, huh? Keep watching the child. Report to me immediately if anything changes.”

“As you wish, Azazil-sama.”

XX IV XII, Arandelle Calendar — Underland Kingdom Castle

A different atmosphere filled the Underland Kingdom. The royal ballroom was ablaze with light and laughter. Today was the 16th birthday celebration of Princess Liza.

The King of Underland had sent invitations to the five great kingdoms, inviting nobles and princes to celebrate his beloved daughter. The gathering was not only festive, but politically significant.

Liza stood gracefully in the center of the crowd. Her long black hair flowed freely, shimmering under the crystal chandeliers. Her mismatched eyes—one pink, the other violet—complemented her elegant white dress beautifully.

A tall prince with blue hair and blue eyes approached her. He was Prince Alden from the Kingdom of Zoyaland.

“Happy birthday, Kaede!—Err, I mean, Princess Liza!” he said nervously.

Princess Liza smiled gently.
“We’re alone, no need to be so formal, Thoru… ah, I mean, Prince Alden.”

They both chuckled softly.
“It’s been a while, Liza. How have you been?”
“I’m doing well. But… have you heard anything about Yuu?”

Alden’s expression turned serious.

“We all died back on Earth and were reincarnated in this world, scattered across different kingdoms. We’ve already found Haruto and Kyosuke… but somehow, Yuu is nowhere to be found in any kingdom.”

Alden stroked his chin thoughtfully.
“If we haven’t found Yuu here… then maybe Yuu is still alive on Earth.”

“Maybe,” Liza nodded, “but… do Zen or Cleve know anything?”

“Don’t bother asking them,” Alden replied. “Zen is busy with his harem, and Cleve… well, he’s obsessed with power. They’ve both changed.”

Liza’s expression turned somber.
“Don’t be sad,” Alden said gently. “This is our new life now. Enjoy it, Liza.”

Their moment was interrupted by a lively voice from across the hall.

“Happy birthday, Princess!” greeted Prince Cleve—long red hair and burning red eyes. “Alden! What a coincidence! Let’s duel after this, shall we? I’ll crush your Earth magic with my fire!”

Alden smiled with confidence.
“Very well, Prince Cleve. Prepare to lose!”

Another voice chimed in, sharp and calm.
“Don’t forget about me. I’ll blow both of you away with my wind magic.”

It was Zen, short black hair and sharp golden eyes.

Alden turned to him.
“Zen, aren’t you usually too busy with your women?”

Zen grinned casually.
“Too bad I didn’t bring them with me today.”

Liza sighed loudly.
“If you want to fight, don’t do it here! Find another place, you idiots!”

Zen smirked.
“As expected of the Ice Queen—still terrifying.”

Alden laughed.
“She could probably freeze anything she sees when she’s angry.”

They all laughed together, the tension between them melting away.

Suddenly, Cleve declared with arrogant pride,
“We’re all sixteen now! That means tomorrow, we’ll all enter the Royal Academy. And I’ll become the strongest there! Just wait! Hahaha!”

“Haaah…” Alden sighed at Cleve’s unchanged behavior.
