The Secret Revealed

After successfully slaying the dragon, I immediately healed Frea-sensei and Prince Cleve, who were both gravely injured. Yet, without saying a single word, Cleve just walked away.

Seriously… At least say thank you or smile a little! He just left like that. I'm starting to regret healing him.

Not long after, the Heroes arrived. They had come upon hearing rumors of a dragon's appearance, but by the time they reached the scene, the beast lay lifeless on the ground. They looked confused—who could’ve possibly defeated a disaster-class dragon?

Frea-sensei calmly explained everything. She pointed at me and said that I was the one who took down the dragon.

Ahh… This is definitely going to be the start of something troublesome...

The Heroes were visibly shocked. How could someone like me—someone seen as completely ordinary—defeat such a powerful creature? Even seasoned Heroes would struggle with such a feat.

Eventually, we all returned to the Academy.

The Next Day

Today, I planned to tell Liza and the others everything. About who I really am… about my powers. Maybe it's finally time to be honest with them.

They’re good people. As long as they can keep a secret, I’m sure everything will be fine.

But that plan had to wait.

The headmaster suddenly summoned me. For some reason... I had a bad feeling.

I quickly made my way to the headmaster’s office. When I opened the door, I froze in place.

All the teachers were there. And among them stood a man in full armor—a Hero, perhaps?

They wanted to hear my explanation directly. What exactly happened? How did I manage to kill a dragon?

Why does this feel like an interrogation?

I told them the whole story—the dragon’s sudden appearance, the battle, and how I ultimately defeated it. But the questions didn’t stop there.

“Why was the dragon’s body covered in slashes, as if cut by a blade?”

“Some students said you used a strange weapon… Is that true?”

Ugh, why is this happening…? I’m a hero, not a criminal!

There was no point in lying. The other students had already witnessed the fight.

“…I have a Skill that allows me to summon weapons,” I finally admitted.

The room fell silent. All eyes were on me—staring in shock.

“Miss, would you mind showing us?” the armored man asked.

I nodded slightly and opened a portal. From within, I pulled out my scythe.

Gasps of awe echoed throughout the room.

“Incredible… I’ve never seen a Skill like this before. What’s your name, young lady?” he asked.

“My name… is Avrora.”

Another man stepped forward. With short silver hair and a white robe, he looked to be around 25. He gently took my hand.

“My name is Gail. I’m an Archbishop. May I examine your magic?”

Wait… he's from the Church?

Panic started to rise. Cold sweat trickled down my temples.

Gail closed his eyes and began channeling magic into my hand.
