I must have drifted off to sleep because when I woke up, a walker was right in front of me and there were a lot behind it. The door was busted through. Chloe was already awake cutting through their chins like I taught her. I quickly got up and grabbed my sword. I sliced every walker in sight. "We have to leave." Chloe told me. I grabbed my book bag and put it on her back since I already had my katana case on mine. We ran through the woods until we reached a road. There were abandoned cars. "Search for one with a key." I told Chloe. Every car I passed had no key but then Chloe spotted one. "Here's one." She said. It was a black mustang and it was in good shape. I got in the front seat behind the wheel and Chloe got into the passenger seat. "Let's do this." I said turning the key in the ignition. Daddy taught me how to drive a few months ago and looks like it came in handy. I drove good but I was a little unsteady so when a walker got in the way, I swerved a little. I knew exactly where to go. There was a prison that my grandpa went to and we use to go visit him. I drove there. When we arrived, the gates were open and walkers had gotten in. I drove the car in and we got out. The walkers surrounded us but we could handle them. "There's too many, Chloe. Use your gun." I told her. She took out the gun and shot every walker near us. I was proud of her. "Let's clear this prison." I told her. I shut the gates and we cleared the yard first. Then, we cleared the watch tower. I told Chloe to stay very close as we went into the prison. There were a lot of walkers. I cleared out Cell Block A and we dragged the bodies out to burn them. "Its not much, but it's secure." I told Chloe. "What about the keys?" She asked me. "I have the car key and I found a bundle of keys in the watch tower." I said. We walked into one of the cells and Chloe laid on the bottom bunk. "They stink." She said. I nodded. "Yeah, I'm kinda hungry. I'll go to the cafeteria. I'm going to lock you in here so you'll be safe okay?" I said. "I want to come." "Fine. Come on." I said hooking the keys to my belt loop. I put my bag on the bunk and locked the cell. Then, I put that key with the others. "Let's go and stay with me." I told her. We walked down some hallways that felt like a maze. Suddenly, I heard snarling. It was coming from around the corner so I told Chloe to be prepared as I reached for my sword. I jumped around the corner, but there were more than I thought. I went in, slicing all walkers in my way. "Brooke!" I heard Chloe scream. She was pinned down by one and it was getting ready to tear into her when I slashed my sword through its head and out. I finally finished off the walkers. "We're almost there. Stay close." I said. When we got to the cafeteria, we took out a few more walkers. I led Chloe back behind the counter and to the pantry. "Grab what you can. After its gone, we'll come back for more." I said. I grabbed a box and she grabbed a smaller one. We slowly made our way back to the cell. I sat the box down and unlocked it. Once we were in, I locked it back. "Here we go. All the stuff that goes into the vending machines. Chocolate, candy, chips, granola bars." I said pulling out the supplies. "I got some oatmeal and cereal." Chloe said. "You know, I had forgot about you at first. I was already in the woods." I said. "But you came back." "Yeah, I'm sorry I wasn't thinking straight I had just got done seeing walkers eat on mom and dad." I was almost in tears but I had to stay strong for her. "We're gonna be here a while." I said.
