The Church

We stopped walking to rest for a bit. I noticed Rick and Tara were talking, but I decided not to bother them. I just sat by Jada and played with her. Rick then told us to keep moving. We were walking for a while and then we decided to sit up a camp in the woods for the night. "What's wrong?" Carl asks me. I look at him. "Oh.. that.. I'm sorry." He says. I just shrug. We start talking about how school was before this and how our lives went on. He was holding Judith and I was making faces to her. Then, Rick walked up and started to talk to us. The night was hard, but when we woke up, we had to get to moving again. I walked next to Maggie and Michonne. I heard everyone talking, but I stayed silent. "Help!" We heard someone yell. It sounded like a man. "Come on." Carl says, rushing to the scene. We all followed. There was a man with an unbelievably clean tux on being attacked by two walkers. We kill the walkers and Rick snatches the man. He said his name was Father Gabriel. "How many walkers have you killed?" Rick asks. "None." Gabriel answers. "None?" I ask disgusted. "How many people have you killed?" Gabriel hesitates, but soon gives an answer. "None." "Why?" Rick asks. "Our father forbids us to kill." Gabriel says. I am a Christian girl in all, but when a dead man is trying to eat me, I'm gonna kill him. "Do you have any shelter we can use?" Rick asks. "I have a church." Gabriel answered. He leads us all to the church. I notice Bob and Sasha trading kisses which makes me smile. "You never know, I may be leading you into a trap and steal all those squirrels you got there." Gabriel jokes, but it wasn't really funny. "My humor leaves a lot to be desired." He says. I just stare at him. We arrive at the church at Rick literally demands Gabriel to give him the keys so he can scout the place. Gabriel told us he was alone, but Rick wasn't buying it. We all followed him into the interior of the building. "Clear!" I said as I searched a room. After realizing Gabriel really was alone, we sat down. Abraham was trying to convince Rick to go to D.C. with him. He said that he had found a small church bus outside. As the adults talked, I walked over to Carl, who was holding Judith. "I miss Beth." I said to him. "I'm sure she's fine." He said back. "I hope." I said Then started to play with Judith. Rick walked toward us and said that he was going to check out a nearby food bank that Gabriel had told him about. "Can I go?" I asked. "I need you to stay here and watch the church." He said smiling. "But I'm weak without my katana." I said. "You're strong with or without that sword. You're just not use to anything else." Sasha said walking up behind Rick. I slowly nodded. "Here, take Judith, I need to talk to Carl." Rick says picking up Judith and giving her to me. After he was done talking to Carl, he left. Bob, Sasha, Maggie, Tara, Glenn and Gabriel went with him. I decided to talk to Eugene. "So how are you going to do it? Save the world?" I asked. "It's classified." He said which irritated me. "Then, what if you die? No one else will know how to stop this because you won't tell anyone." I insulted him. He didn't respond so I just went back into the church with Tyreese, Carl, and Judith. I talked to Tyreese for a but and we actually bonded. He told me about this guy who put his hand on Judith's neck and how terrified he was. "You don't have time to be afraid." I said. "You know who you remind me of?" He asked before I walked away. "Who?" I asked curious. "Beth, you two are so much alike." He said. I smiled and left before he saw me cry.
