We got to the house and I hot into the shower. I turned the water on and let it hit me as I slid down the wall and brought my legs to my chest and cried. "Brooke? Are you okay?" I noticed it was Carl's voice. I didn't answer him. I just got out, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and opened the door. I immediately fell into his arms. He rubbed my back. I let go of him and went into the living room to sleep. The next morning, the sun was blazing through the windows. "Brooke, wake up. Its time for work." Michonne said. I slowly got up. A tear fell down my cheek. "I heard about Noah. I'm sorry." She said putting her arms around me. I put my uniform on and pulled my hair up. Deanna came in and said she needed to speak with me. As we walked into her office, I realized what she wanted to talk about. She asked questions about the run and I answered them honestly. When she released me, I walked around the streets alone. I kicked the rocks around for a bit. These were the same streets Noah and I walked on the day before. I was walking around thinking for a while, then I heard glass break and yelling so I ran to the scene. I saw Rick and Pete fighting in the street. I've always suspected that Rick likes Jesse and Carol told me that Pete was abusing Jesse and their son, Sam. Everyone was surrounding them. I ran over to Carl and stood next to him and the other girl our age. "Stop it!" Deanna yelled which caused Rick to aim a gun at everyone. He was saying none of the people there get what we do and he kept confronting them until Michonne knocked him out and took his gun. "What was that for?" I yelled at her. "He would have gotten us killed." Michonne said. Deanna put Rick into this small room where he slept for a while. We all took turns seeing him, but he woke up when Michonne and I were in there. He got and looked at us confused. He asked us if we were here the whole time and I nodded. "Ill be back." I said leaving so they could talk. I went into our house and changed into some everyday clothes. "Brooke!" Jada yelled as she ran into my arms. I haven't seen her in a while. Two years ago today, we adopted her. She was now five years old. I grabbed her and spun her around. "Is Rick going to get kicked out?" She asked. "I don't know." I answered. It seems like lately Deanna doesn't get along with anyone except me, Maggie, Carl, Jada, and of course Judith. "Hey, I have to go to this meeting, but when I get back, I'll spend some time with you okay?" I said. She nodded. "Stay with Carl." I said kissing her forehead. I walked our side and looked around. I saw Glenn sitting on the porch, but I didn't bother him. I walked behind the house and picked up the oversized rock that Noah and I put there. I put it in the house and cleaned it up. I noticed Rick was already in the house, but I didn't talk to him. I set the rock on the shelf that was below Michonne's katana. I looked down on the floor and grabbed my katana. I set it on the shelf. I then sat on the floor and stared off into space. I finally got up and decided to go on an adventure. I walked out of the gate and through the woods. I heard fighting and I saw Glenn and Nicholas. Nicholas was on top of Glenn beating him and walkers were surrounding them. I grabbed my gun and shot the walkers. Nicholas looked my way, but didn't see me so they continued to fight. I followed them, Movin from tree to tree. Glenn started to beat Nicholas then put a gun to his head. I was sure that he was going to shoot him, but after all the pleading, he jerked back the gun. Heh helped Nicholas up and they walked back to the community. I followed them back. We heard yelling so we ran to find that Pete went crazy. Then, Rick shot him.
