"Okay girls, let's go." Michonne said. She picked up Lexie and I picked up Jada. We ran around holding them in one hand and slicing walkers with the other. "Eww stop!" Lexie screamed. "They're bad. We have to." I told her slicing another one. She dug her head into Michonne's chest. Jada covered her eyes. I hugged her as we continued to run. We walked up to a house and we put the girls down. "Look, there's a peep hole on the door." I said. Michonne looked through it. She started crying. Not sad tears, tears of joy. "Who is it?" I asked. "It's Rick. And Carl." She said. I started crying tears of joy as she knocked on the door. I heard someone inside move around. Then Rick whispered. I looked at Lexie and Jada. They were holding hands. So cute. Just then, the door opened. "Rick! Carl!" The girls screamed as they ran toward them. Michonne and I stood there in shock. Carl walked over to me and put his arms around me. Michonne started talking to Rick. I started to cry. Carl kissed my cheek. "I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have done that. David might've killed me if he knew." He said backing away. We all went into the house. Rick and Michonne pushed a couch up against the door. Carl started walking around the house. I followed him. When we were out of sight, I stopped him in his tracks. "David. H..He's dead." I said. He hugged me once again. Carl has always been my best friend. He wants to be more than that, but neither one of us have time for a relationship. "Brooke, I'm sorry." He said. "It's okay, people are going to die. I'm gonna die. Michonne's gonna die. Lexie's gonna die, Jada's gonna die. Your dad is gonna die. And your gonna die." I said tearing up in his shoulder. "Brooke, come. We need to go on a run." I heard Michonne say. Lexie, Jada, and I walked over to her side. "I'm going too." Carl said. I smiled at him. We walked out of the house. I felt like something bad might happen, but I ignored it. We walked into this really big house. It reminded me of my house before all this happened. Carl and I were having a conversation when Michonne told us all to be quiet. "You hear that?" She asked us. I listened harder. It sounded like a baby crying. You don't think about babies anymore. We all ran up the stairs. There were only two walkers. A man and a woman who must have died during birth. Carl's face dropped. It must have reminded him of his mother. I stabbed the woman in her head. Michonne did the same to the man. The door to the baby's room was locked. Michonne started walking downstairs. "Where are you going?" I asked her. "I'll be back. Watch Lexie and Jada." She said. I groaned. It didn't take her long. She came back with a paperclip. She stuck it in the lock and turned it. Smart. The door opened, revealing a baby who looked around a year old. It was healthy so the man must have taken care of him until he died. "It's a baby boy." Michonne said softly. The baby had the same skin tone as her deceased baby Andre. "His name is Tylar." Carl said. "How do you know?" I asked. Carl pointed to the nursery door. It had a sign that someone had written.
Great! You got in. That must mean you're alive. Take our baby boy and keep him safe. His name is Tylar.
We all were amazed. I grabbed the baby. "Hey Tylar, we're gonna take good care of you. I'll call you Ty." I said to him then kissed his forehead. He stopped crying and made a babbling noise. "Awe, he's so cute." I said. I showed him to Lexie and Jada. That put a smile on their faces. "Let's go." Michonne said. I stuff all the baby stuff into the book bag I had and Michonne grabbed all the food. We were walking back to the house with the baby when Rick ran toward us. "Go. Go. Go!" He said. We all ran the opposite direction. We stopped when we were sure we were out of sight. Rick grabbed the baby and held it in his arms. Thinking of Judith, tears filled his eyes. "His name is Ty. We found him in the house we searched." Carl said. I smiled at him. That's when we reached the railroads. "Wait!" Lexie and Jada say at the same time. We stopped in our tracks and looked back. They were pointing to a sign on a bus.
Terminus,
Sanctuary for all
Those who arrive, survive."Wanna go?" Rick asked. Michonne and Carl nodded. I shrugged. "I don't know." Lexie and Jada looked confused. "What if they're lying?" Lexie asked causing Jada to nod. "It's worth a try." Carl said. "Let's go." Michonne said as we followed the railroad tracks.
