Nitika walked alone on the winding road to her dorm, the evening sun casting long shadows.
Bella and Aleena had declined her invitation to join, promising to catch up later.
As she strolled, lost in thought, Avyaan appeared, jogging worriedly to catch up.
"Nitika, wait," he said, his voice laced with concern.
"Avyaan, stay away from me," she snapped, her words cutting through the air.
Avyaan felt a pang, regret overwhelming him.
Why hadn't he told her earlier, by himself?
"Nitika, I know you're angry, but please listen to me," he pleaded.
Nitika ignored him, quickening her pace. Avyaan matched her stride, determination etched on his face.
"Please, Nitika," he urged.
But she wasn't listening, her silence a fortress.
The distance between them seemed to grow, despite their side-by-side walk.
Avyaan's anxiety intensified, his heart racing. How could he bridge the gap?
Would she ever forgive him?
Avyaan's words trailed behind Nitika, unheard and unacknowledged, as she continued walking with determination.
Her pace quickened, a silent rebuke, each step underscoring her resolve.
Avyaan's eyes searched for a glimmer of understanding, a crack in the armor of her anger.
But Nitika's resolve remained unwavering, her focus fixed on the path ahead.
The silence between them grew heavier, thick with unspoken emotions and unresolved issues.
How could he make her listen?
What words could heal the rift and mend her broken trust?
"Nitika, please!" he urged, his voice tinged with longing.
As her dorm approached Nitika hastened toward the entrance.
Avyaan followed but she spun around.
"Leave me alone, Avyaan!" she exclaimed.
Her voice echoed.
Avyaan halted in his place regretting he should have told her earlier.
Nitika vanished into the dorm leaving Avyaan standing alone.
With only his regrets.
His heart weighed heavily "what should I do?" He mumbled.
