A V Y A A N
I woke up before dawn, restless. Nitika's smile lingered in my mind, haunting me. Every dream, every thought, revolved around her. My heart raced, confessing my feelings seemed daunting.
"What if she doesn't feel the same?"
Nitika's presence in my life had become indispensable. Confessing my emotions terrified me, yet hiding them seemed impossible.
"Will she reciprocate?"
The uncertainty gnawed at me.
Fear gripped me, but Karan's advice might ease my nerves.
"I need to talk to Karan," I resolved.
After a refreshing bath, I dressed and headed out to shoot a reel for my Instagram. The open road beckoned, perfect for a serene drive.
With the engine purring, I cruised, capturing the ride. The calmness soothed my soul.
Back at my flat, I quickly got ready for college. Today's reel would have to suffice for a while; exams loomed.
"This evening, I'll post it," I decided. I would love to see Nitika's reaction on it, she will like it right?
I grabbed my backpack and headed out for university. The gates approached, signaling a new day.

I strolled into class, scanning the room for Nitika's bright smile. But she wasn't in the class my eyebrows furrowed as I noticed her friends but not her.
I approached Bella "Have you seen Nitika?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.
"She's in the library," Bella replied.
"Thanks!"
My feet led me to the library, heart beating slightly faster, anticipating seeing Nitika.
Rows of shelves and studying students filled the room. My gaze locked onto Nitika, slumped over her book, fast asleep, her head resting on her arms.
"I thought she was studying, but look at her," I chuckled to myself, finding it adorable.
Slipping into the seat beside her and watched her face for a few seconds before tucking her hairs behind her ear, mesmerized by her peaceful expression.
Her lips curled into an unconscious smile, captivating me.
"She's so beautiful," I thought, my heart skipping a beat.
"Come to your senses, Avyaan," I reminded myself. "Exams are next week; she needs to focus."
But I couldn't help watching her sleep for a moment longer. Her gentle breathing, the way her brown hair fell across her face....
"It's been weeks since I've seen her so calm," I realized.
Should I wake her? Ah wait I'll get her coffee first. Swiftly exiting the library, I grabbed her favorite coffee from the nearest café and returned.
Nitika remained oblivious, lost in slumber.
"Should I wake her now?" I pondered.
But her serene face made me hesitate. "Just five more minutes," I thought.
Time passed, and I knew I couldn't delay any longer.
"Nitika!" I whispered, gently tapping her shoulder.
No response. My finger traced her cheek, playful.
"Nitika," I whispered again.
Her eyes fluttered open, startled.
