A V Y A A N
As I held Nitika in my arms, I couldn't help but feel mix of surprise and concern. One minute she was standing in front of me, looking as beautiful as ever and the next moment she was fainting in my arms.
I gently lifted her up, cradling her against my chest as I looked around for a place to sit. I spotted a sofa and made my way towards it, sitting down carefully so as not to jostle Nitika. As I held her, I couldn't help but think about how surreal this moment felt.
Nitika and I had a breakup and ended things badly between us. Ans yet, here I was holding her in my arms like I used to. It felt like no time had passed at all, and yet, everything was different.
I looked down at her face, taking in the familiar features that I had once known so well. Her eyes were closed, her lashes fanned out against her cheeks. She looked peaceful, like she was sleeping.
But I knew she was not sleeping. She had fainted, and I had no idea why. Was it the shock of seeing me again? Or was something else going on?
I gently brushed a strand of hair out of her face, feeling a pang of concern. I needed to get her to a safe place, to make sure she was okay. And then I had have to figure out what was going on, and why Nitika had fainted in my arms.
Just as I was trying to figure out what to do next, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. I looked up to see Bella and Karan rushing towards us, concern etched on their faces.
"What happened?" Bella asked, her voice tight with worry as she took in the sight of Nitika lying limp in my arms.
"I'm not sure," I replied, shaking my head. "We were just talking, and then she fainted."
Bella and Karan exchanged a worried glance, and then I asked "In which room is she staying?"
"Tell me"
"It's room 314," Bella replied.
I nodded and then gently stood up, cradling Nitika in my arms. "I'll take her to her room," I said.
Bella nodded, and then Karan spoke up, "I'll call the hotel staff to get a doctor."
I nodded, and then made my way to the elevator, Nitika still limp. As we rode up to the third floor, I couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility towards her. I needed to make sure she was okay, no matter what.
As we reached room 314, I gently laid Nitika down on the bed, trying not to jostle her. Bella and Karan followed close behind, their faces etched with worry.
"Should we get her some water or something?" Bella asked, hovering anxiously beside the bed.
"I think the doctor should take a look at her first," I replied, trying to sound calm despite the concern that was growing inside me.
Karan nodded in agreement, his phone still pressed to his ear as he waited for the hotel staff to send up a doctor.
As we waited, I couldn't help but gaze down at Nitika's face, feeling a mix of emotions that I couldn't quite untangle. Concern, worry, and... something else. Something that I hadn't felt in a long time.
The sound of the door opening broke the spell, and I looked up to see a doctor, followed by a hotel staff member.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Patel," the doctor said, smiling kindly at us. "Can someone tell me what happened?"
