How Dangerous Can The Sea Be?

2 1 1

The roaring sea

The calm sea

High tide

Low tide

Waves crashing fiercely

Waves flowing on the sand

The beauty and danger of the sea

The beauty and danger of my mind

How dangerous the waves of depression,

How dangerous the waves of regret,

How dangerous the waves of emptiness,

How dangerous they all can be

So fierce that I tumble in the waves,

Over and over again

Until I don't

I'm left on the shore

Gasping for breath

Waiting for my mind to clear, to calm

Once I am recovered,

The lull of the waves

Leave me in a trance

Pulling me back into the cold, rough embrace

Making me breathless from the cold

Shivering with no hope of warmth

Always cold,

Always overwhelmed by the waves

Trying to stay afloat

Never giving up
