Offroad dreamed of his conversation with Off and Gun when they told him they were vampires ,at first he laughed but then they showed him his fangs

He remembered his fear and how he ran away from the house, even when they found him later they tried to approach him but he moved away

"We won't hurt you" Gun said "We are your parents"

"It's too scary" Offroad tried to run away but fell on the floor

"I'm sorry Offroad you better not know than be afraid...at least for now" Off said before he hypnotized him

Offroad guessed that the reason he was scared then was because of all the children in the orphanage who used to scare him and hurt him every year on Halloween but now that he remembered it he wasn't scared, he knew his parents would never hurt him

"Why are you doing this?"  Offroad asked Daou in the morning when he brought him breakfast

"Because vampires are bad, they suck our blood and kill us" Daou this time didn't sit down next to him just stood and looked at him

"No they don't" Offroad defends his family

"Maybe they didn't do anything to you now but they would at some point"

"Has a vampire ever done anything to you that makes you say that??"

"The scratches you saw on my shoulder? A vampire did it"

"Did you do something to him before or did he just come and attack you?"

Daou did not answer

"See" Offroad chuckled pantingly

"Daou they are on their way here be ready" Sean entered the room and threw him his bow and arrows and then left

"Please don't hurt them" Offroad begged Daou before he left "They are really good vampires they raised me and made me who I am without them I would have grown up in a cruel orphanage"

"Wait, you lived in an orphanage??"  Daou looked at him and his stern gaze became much softer

"My parents died when I was young because of a fire, I was the only survivor and they put me in an orphanage, daddy and papa took me out of there at the age of 8 after years of abuse by the other children, they never hurt me so please don't hurt them" Offroad's eyes sparkled

"But vampires are bad" Daou repeated what his father always told him and opened the door

"They are like humans, just as there are bad humans, so there are bad vampires, but not all of them"

"Daou" Sean called to him from below "they are close be in position"

"Please Daou" Offroad looked up at him "I can't lose my family again"

Daou moved his gaze from Offroad to the door and back again

"Let's go save them" Daou decided in a momentary decision
He freed Offroad and helped him stand up

Offroad smiled at him and then pulled him close for a kiss

Daou was at first surprised but kissed him back
