Chapter Thirty Five
Evergreen
Blood. There was blood everywhere. All the orcs lay dead, and I lay on the floor bleeding out. My right leg is hanging onto my body by little, bloody strings of flesh.
Demetry couldn't bind it for fear of breaking it entirely. So there I lay, slipping in and out of conscience. My vision was blurry, but I managed to make out Brickwood sword fighting with SteelHeart nearby.
SteelHeart seemed to take notice of me and direct his attention away from Brikwood onto me.
The rest of the events that led to us getting back to Haggolthorn's cottage, I couldn't say.
My last remaining bit of consciousness had slipped away from me, leaving me in a black oblivion.
