Kimberly Jane

Kumunot naman ang noo ko. What the fúck is he talking about? American Ambassador—-OH.

"Uhm, l-listen, father. I am not involved with Dominic, he just had his car parked here." Kalmado kong sagot.

Of course, he would never think or even assume that his thirty-two year old lawyer and a professor daughter would ever fool around and proceed to fall in love with the nineteen year old basketball player Pierceton.

And I'm going to try to use that to my advantage to get him the hell out of my house and have Elijah run as far away as he could before my father puts two and two together.

He scoffed.

"Sa tingin mo ba ay tanga ako, Kimberly, huh?"

Napalunok ako at sandaling napatingin sa shotgun na hawak niya. It was part of his precious gun collection and I knew that this shotgun wasn't cheap—-it's one of those limited editions he bought out of the country.

"Father, I don't know what you're talking about."

"Kimberly, would you stop that? I'm not gonna shoot you. Godsakes, you are my daughter."

Mixed emotions hit me like a train. I don't even know what the hell I am supposed to be feeling right now. I know for sure that I am scared for his life.

"But I will shoot the boy you are fooling around with if you don't tell me where he is."

"T-There is nobody here, father."

"Anak, I know that you've been keeping somebody in here. I had some guys watch your house. You don't come home at your house very often until these past couple of weeks. My men would always see a Gray Mercedes pull in the garage."

"I don't know w-what they saw but I am always busy in my law office."

"Your assistant said that you only go to the office twice a week."

"Well, I t-take the cases back home and talk to D-Dominic a-about it."

"He is an American Ambassador not a lawyer."

Fúck. I become a really bad liar when I am nervous.

"Come on, Kim. I mentored you to become the lawyer that you are today. You really think you could outsmart me?" Pagak siyang tumawa.

"Now, I don't know what you're doing but I know there is something going on. Look at your neck—- the boy touched you already." His gritted his teeth as he glared at me.

My hand instinctively reached for the mark on my neck.

"He touched you out of wedlock. You're a disgrace! Pinahiya mo ako sa Tatay ni Travis. Kabilin-bilinan ko sa'yo na manirahan ka kasama niya. Pinangako ko iyon sa Tatay niya at kaninang umaga ay pumunta kami sa apartment niyo, here I am thinking that you're gonna be there, I come to find out that you paid him to never tell me that you weren't even there to begin with! Pinag-mukha mo akong tanga!"

I flinched as he yelled at me and pointed fingers at me.

"OKAY! FINE! He's at the embassy if you wanna shoot him. N-Nobody is here, I swear." I said loudly. Dominic has a security detail and I'll warn him that my father will be on his way there on a call—I just need him to get out of here!

Suddenly we heard a sound in the staircase behind me. I froze and my heart fúcking dropped when his eyes zeroed in on the staircase where Elijah's standing with nothing but boxers on—clearly suggesting what we were doing before my father came into my house.

My father's eyes widened, his gaze filled with rage and...utter confusion as he held the shotgun in his hands. He was frozen as though he was trying to process what the hell he just saw.

"A-Anong g-ginagawa ng bunsong kapatid ng lecheng Amerikano na 'yon—-Kimberly, disinuebe anyos ang kalaguyo mo?"

"RUN! HE'S GONNA SHOOT YOU, ELIJAH! RUNNN!!!" I yelled at him repeatedly, and his eyes were still wide in shock. Frozen in place, his eyes on me, he clearly didn't wanna run and leave him until my father fired the first round of bullets.

Bang!

Bang!

I covered my ears as the bullets hit the wall. He ducked and ran back upstairs.

Still through my pounding heart, I felt a sense of relief when I saw that there were no blood marks and that I heard heavy footsteps upstairs. Suddenly, the main door opened and two unfamiliar policemen in uniforms walked in. Holy shît, there were more men and cars outside the door.

"Judge, nakalabas po siya sa bintana–"

"EDI HABULIN NIYO, PUTANGINA NAMAN!" Sigaw ng Tatay ko sa kanila na mabilis nilang ikinaripas ng takbo sa labas.

"You, stay here. Pasaway kang bata ka!" He glared at me. We're not done here!" Singhal niya sa akin bago niya kinasa ang baril ulit at lumabas sa pintuan.

"No! Father, don't hurt him, please!" I begged him and tried to run after him but two policewomen stood by the door and blocked me.

"Stop! Don't touch me!" The policewoman with the short hair pushed me back inside my own house, causing me to tumble and my behind hit the tiled floor.

I felt a sharp pain in my lower belly.

"Shut up! Make sure my daughter stays in the house." I heard my father say that to them.

"Opo, Judge."

I feel like there's something wet between my legs as the pain increases in my stomach. I untangled the robe and I saw blood soaking my shorts.

My hand shook as I saw the red, crimson liquid in my hand. What is happening to me? I groaned when I felt a sharp pain blow to my stomach.

"Judge, Judge, dinudugo po 'yung anak niyo!" I heard somebody yell but my back was already on the floor. My vision started to spin as I looked at the ceiling. "Judge!"

Next thing I knew, my father was kneeling beside me and his face was pale as a ghost. His eyes wide in fear as he cupped my face.

"D-Don't touch me–" I tried to push his hands from my face.

"Sinong tumulak sa anak ko, pútangina!" I heard him exclaim in anger.

"I-I hate you. G-Get away f-from m-me.." I was already having a hard time speaking because of the pain. "Father, my stomach h-hurts."

"Kimberly, hey, anak, I know, just hang on." I have never seen him so scared, his lips already trembling in fear as he looked at the blood. "Huwag kang pipikit—-somebody call the fúcking ambulance now or I'll shoot all of you!"
