Elijah
"What the fúck???" My hands were shaking as I held my phone. My eyes won't tear away from the messages. Carl, Joseph, and the boys were already standing beside me with their palms open up, waiting, because I have been cussing.
I pulled out my wallet and started handing the boys five hundred dollars each.
"Yown, naka-700 dollars na ako."
"Ako rin!"
I pushed a smile as I looked at the beaming kids, while containing my fúcking rage.
"Boys, go ahead and start playing basketball and I'll try to join later, okay?" I asked with a big smile on my lips, like I am not one text message away from losing my sanity.
"Okay po!" Halos sabay-sabay nilang sagot bago sila nagtakbuhan papunta sa court. Habang mabilis naman akong naglakad palayo sa Sari-Sari store. This small Barrio that we were in had little to no cars or motorcycles passing by. Donkey Dom and the rest of the Baranggay councilors were sitting on green monoblock chairs on the side of the small concrete road, having their small meeting there.
I quickly dialed her number.
"Hello? Who is this? It's an unknown number."
"Baby," I said in both relief and desperation. "It's me—"
"Baby? I'm sorry, you have the wrong number." Her tone is straight and cold. My chest ached.
"Kimberly, it's me, Elijah—"
"Oh, that's a surprise, I usually delete the phone numbers of the people who don't matter to me."
My heart ached more and it finally dropped when she blocked me after ending the call. Fúck! I frustratingly raked my fingers through my hair. I started pacing anxiously as I blew up her phone with text messages. After I sent about fifty green text clouds—--because I was blocked—-- I opened my email and messaged her there, too.
Those were the only socials I have, she doesn't have any other accounts. Well, maybe I still have yet to find them because a simple Google search won't do it.
The whole time, Yamsuan was watching me with furrowed eyebrows like he couldn't understand my behavior. I couldn't understand me either. I wanted to rage, throw up, and fúcking cry knowing that some filthy man is laying his hands on my woman and that she might be liking it oo.
I am actually fúcking crashing out!
I couldn't take it anymore and went up to Dom to borrow his phone.
"Kuya, I need your phone, please."
He looked at me weirdly as he looked up at me from his chair.
"You never say please."
I didn't answer and just showed him my open palm. My fingers then started typing her name in his contacts.
Atty. Kimberly J. Wencezlao
I immediately dialed her number.
"Ambassa–"
"----This is Elijah Pierceton. Kimberly, please, answer my calls." I desperately said as I stood beside the Sari-Sari store again, pacing as I held the phone against my ear. "I'm begging—-"
I cussed inwardly when she blocked me again.
"Hey, what the hell is going on?" Donkey Dom whispered to me when I handed him his phone back.
"Nothing for you to worry about." I said and quickly walked up to Yamsuan.
"Hello—"
"Kimberly, please. Where are you?" My tone was hoarse and begging her but the freaking call dropped again and I couldn't call her anymore.
