Chapter 22: healing

Hey yalls
Anyways as promised here's another chapter, also I made a Sprunki fanfic for some reason so if you want go read that🤭

After the run in with the player, the smiling critter plushies crawl out from within Dogdays soulless skin and rehang him somehow idk too lazy to make these things make sense. Anyways catnap comes back because HES GA-

There he was, slowly making his way toward me. His heavy breathing and scrawny body, things familiar things bringing back memories of when life was actually worth living. I held my breath.

I was trembling, anxiety coursing through my veins, begging to be freed from this situation.

"Don't come near me!" I shouted, I didn't know why, it felt..right? He stopped dead in his tracks, not daring to take another step. The silence drew on for a while and my shaky breathing started to slow. His ear twitched, and I couldn't find the words, I just wanted him to leave.

He then started to walk toward me again, the fear returned and welcomed itself, making my heart want to burst. My pupils shrunk. Why is he here. Are you going to hurt me again. Is he going to kill me. Leave me alone!

Placing his furry paw against my chains, I choked, and with a swift motion, he ripped the chain off the wall in one blow. I gasped, this couldn't be happening. He turned his attention to the other and repeated his actions quickly. Just before I could collapse to the ground, he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me up to him.

"Let go of me!" He lifted a claw up to my face to move a peice of raged and bloody fur.

"You. Are. Free" he breathed. I must be dreaming. He reached for something behind him, pulling out the legs which once belonged to me, I couldn't believe what was happening. He pressed them against my hips and pulled the chain on my waist to secure and hold my legs to my body once again.

A tear formed in my eye, to think I was just yelling at him when really, he was helping me. The critters watched upon his movements with their pitch black plastic eyes and backed away into the shadows, now having lost their only food source. Pulling me onto his purple shoulder, he made his way out of the prison cells and into a playground, where the employee escaped.

Crossing over and round the area, he continued to walk through the halls and shadows and looked to be in search of something. Someone. Until it clicked, he was after the employee, like how I was when under control.

Suddenly, he stopped and pulled me off him. "Walk"

I grabbed onto him to attempt to stand up, I felt like a kid again, having to learn how to walk. Catnap held me up by my arms while I worked with my legs, trying to remember how I used to do it.

Now steady, I placed a paw after the other and continued to fail and try again with Catnap's help.
