Chapter Thirty-Nine

Siobhan's POV

I woke up, it was around 5am, I looked at Viv, she was still asleep I turned on my side so I could watch her sleep, she was snoring slightly, the bruising was starting to go, in her face, which I'm glad as it's the wedding in three weeks. We have the last few things to sort out then everything will be ready for our big day. The rings Viv got made are perfect, she certainly knows how to make things just right. I pick my iPad up and switch it on. I need to look at trips to California, in particular Los Angeles, Viv has always wanted to go, I remember one of the conversations I had with Elaine, she told me about Viv's dream of riding a motor bike across California. So, I'm going to book three-week honeymoon we are going to New York for a week with Courtney, Luis, Jamie, Emma and Michael, then the kids will fly back home, and me and Viv will fly to California where Viv and I will ride a motor bike across California, starting in Los Angeles and we will finish in Seattle. I've been taking motor bike riding lessons as an added surprise.

I finish booking everything just in time as Viv wakes up "Good morning, Vivian, why do you look so pleased with yourself?"

She pulled me closer "Well for starters there is a beautiful woman in my bed" she replied

"Really, does your wife know?" I joked

Viv kissed me "Oh my wife certainly does know; I fucked her last night" she replied

"Hmm did you really?" I asked

She moved so she was on top of me, she kissed me, I moved my hands, so they went through her hair, and I pulled her towards me, our kiss got more passionate, I ran my hands down her body, as I got to her arse I dug my nails in, she took a sharp intake of breath she bit my bottom lip. We continued to kiss, and my hands continued to roam around her body, I traced patterns with my fingertips down her back and I squeezed her arse. She took a deep breath. She looked down at me then lowered herself on top of me, we continued kissing, then my alarm went off, 6.45am.

"Come on Viv time to get up, busy day today we have got wedding shopping to do", I got up and waited for Viv, she didn't move "Oh come on its the last few bits and the kids need their outfits then we are all ready"

She still didn't move so I walked into the bathroom I switched the shower on and undressed, I stood under the water, it felt lovely running down my body, I started to wash myself then I felt Viv's arms around me "Hello again"

"Bon, work have just rung they need me to go in, some big safeguarding meeting over a patient in A&E, I should only be a couple of hours"

I turned around "a couple of hours Viv even I know a safeguarding meeting can take longer than a couple of hours, we are supposed to be wedding shopping today, with the kids and you don't want to, you want to go to work, even though you are supposed to be off"

"Bon, come on I didn't plan this, they need me, I deal with the safeguarding you know that" "They need you, what about Amanda she's a matron, she can attend the meeting can't she?"

"She's.... She's off work today"

I glared at her "You are off today...... infact you're off sick.... Why do you need to go to work...... do you know what? GO GO TO WORK, I'LL TAKE THE KIDS SHOPPING"

"Bon, come on"

I walked out of the bathroom and get dressed; Viv follows me out "This is stupid"

I turned around "Did you call me stupid?"

"What? No, I said this was stupid, this argument not you" she replied

"You knew we were going out today, we planned it, and as soon as work rang you want to go in, Viv you were attacked the other day.... you almost died, you are signed off work, yet they ring you when they could ring Amanda or one of your bands 7's could go to the meeting .... noooo superwoman Viv must go in"

"Bon there is no need for that, I bet if Autumn rang for you to go into the precious nursery you would drop everything"

"What? No, I wouldn't Autumn knows better than to ring when someone is off work SICK" I replied

"Are you going to keep throwing that in my face, the fact that I'm off sick?"

"Yes, I fucking well am going to keep throwing it in your face Viv, you have been signed off work, you almost died"

Tears started to fall down my face, Viv walked over to me and hugged me I kept repeating the same thing repeatedly "Viv you almost died, you almost died, you almost died"

I sank to the floor sobbing, Viv was still hugging me "Oh Bon-Bon, how long have you been holding all of this in?"

"Probably since I found Courtney after she was attacked, I stayed strong for everyone, then Roger escaping, then Janice attacking you, she almost killed you, I was looking forward to spending the day together as a family, me, you, Courtney, Luis, Jamie, Emma and Michael, it's been so long since we have all been able to spend any time together, and at the first opportunity you want to go into work"

"Your right Bon, I shouldn't be going in, to work I'm still off I will ring work tell them I won't be in, and the nurse in charge can attend the meeting, I will read the report next week"

I look back at her "I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean......" she stops me mid-sentence

"Hey, don't apologies, you have stayed strong for everyone, you are our rock, but even you can break down" she lifts me up and sits me on the bed

"You stay there I will be back in a few minutes"

She leaves the bedroom I stay sitting on the side of the bed, after about 5 minutes she comes back into the room, with a cup of coffee.

"The kids have headed into town, you have the cup of coffee we will catch up with them, we will get the last of the wedding stuff then have a family dinner"

"Thank you, I love you babe"

"I love you too Bon-Bon"
