Chapter Twenty-Nine

Chapter 29

Siobhan's POV

I drop Luis off at school as I'm walking back to my car, I see Jen dropping Courtney and Grace off I walk over to the car "Hi everyone"

"Hi mamma" replied Courtney as she got out of Jen's car and hugged me

"Did you have a good weekend angel?"

"I did mamma, Grace's family are lovely" I kissed her on the top of her head

I looked over at Jen "Thank you for having her over the weekend"

"It was an absolute pleasure" she replied

"Do you want me to take Coutney's bag? Saves you a trip, plus I think Viv is out meeting a friend from work this morning"

"Okay, Grace can you get Courtney's case out of the boot?"

"Okay mum"

"Oh, before I forget, are you busy in about two weeks?" I asked

"No, I don't think so why?" asked Jen

"Well Viv got tickets for my favourite musical Chicago, she isn't a fan of musicals, so I was wondering if you and Grace fancied a weekend in London with me and Courtney?"

"That sounds great"

"I think Liverpool have a match that weekend, so Viv is going to see if Greg would like to go to the match"

"Oh, he will like that, with being the only man in the house and none of the girls like football, he will be made up to have people to talk to about it"

I laughed "You have my number ring me in the week and we will confirm plans"

"Okay great"

I give Courtney a kiss on the cheek, I walk back to my car, put the bag on the back seat and I drive to work.

I walk into head office, and I'm greeted by Marjorie "Good morning my love"

"Good morning, Marjorie, how are you?"

"I'm okay, shall we look at some wedding outfits today?"

"Yes, we need to get things planned, I found my wedding dress the other day its in the boot of my car, I will get it and hang it up"

I went and got the dress from the boot and took it inside, nobody had seen it as Viv and I eloped, only Jamie and Viv's mum Elaine saw me in the dress. I went to the staff bathroom and changed into it to show Marjorie, I can't believe that at 50 I still fit into my wedding dress. As I walked out of the bathroom Marjorie gasped "Oh my god Siobhan, you look beautiful"

"Thank you, Marjorie, I can't believe I still fit into the dress"

"Viv won't be able to keep her eyes off you"

"It's not her eyes I'm worried about, she won't be able to keep her hands off me, and I'm not leaving the celebration early" I winked

"She is as bad as Reece; he can't keep his hands off me most days"

We both started laughing "I had better get changed out of this dress, I'm going to leave it here for now"

We spent the rest of the morning going over things for the wedding, we booked a private chef, as the actual wedding party consisted of 25 guests, Jamie's friend is a DJ, he will sort the music, and we are using the tables and chairs from the nursery, the girls will decorate them, we ordered balloons and other party decorations, so within the hour the whole wedding was booked, all that we needed to get was Viv's outfit and Reece, Eli, Jamie and Luis's suits. They can go for them one evening this week.

I rang Viv's phone and got no answer.

I left a voicemail "Hey babe, you still out on a run, just a quick message to say Marjorie and I have sorted the wedding, you and Reece need to take the boys out for your suits. Ring me when you get the message"

I carried on with my day, got a few more things including parent complaints, I checked on the progression of the new Centre we are opening, it was around 2pm when I checked my phone and no reply from Viv. I rang her friend that she was meeting for lunch, she answered straight away

"Hi Amanda, it's Siobhan is Viv with you?"

"Hi Siobhan, I was just about to ring you, I haven't seen Viv, she didn't meet me, I thought something had cropped up with the kids again"

"No everything is fine with the kids, its unlike Viv though"

Amanda went to answer then she said "Siobhan, I think you need to get to A&E, Viv has just been brought in, it looks like she has been beaten up......SHIT....GET HERE ASAP SHE'S BEEN TAKEN INTO RESUS"

"WHAT.... WHAT DID YOU SAY......VIV" I screamed and dropped my phone

Marjorie and Reece came running into my office, I was sitting on the floor sobbing, Marjorie crouched down "Siobhan my love what's the matter?"

"It's Viv.... She has been attacked, she's in A&E"

"WHAT" said Reece

"Siobhan, you need to stand up, we must get to the hospital," said Majorie

"Come on I will take you," said Reece

"I will sort the kids out" added Marjorie

I stood up, I was numb Reece guided me out to his car, I got into the passenger seat, Reece ran round to the driver's side, and we headed to the hospital. We got there in 15 minutes. I got out of the car, and we went inside, I went to the information desk, but I couldn't speak

"We are looking for Vivian Serpent, she was brought in about 20 minutes ago," said Reece

"Siobhan"

I turned around Amanda was standing there; she had blood all over her uniform I looked at her she looked at me, I started to shake my head "NO....NO.....NO" I shouted, and I turned and cried into Reece's shoulder

I was guided into the family room; Reece and I sat down Amanda took my hand.

"Siobhan listen to too me, Viv is alive she was found tied to a tree in the woods, she has been beaten and her wrists cut, the person that found her saved her life, they stopped the bleeding and called an ambulance. She is having a CT scan to check for head injury then she may have to go to surgery to repair damage to her wrists"

I looked at Amanda "She's alive?"

"Yes" Amanda looked up at another nurse

"Viv is back from CT; do you want to see her?"

"Yes....can Reece come as well? I don't think I could go in on my own"

"Yes, that's fine, the Doctors will want to speak to you once they have decided on her treatment plan"

I nodded, Reece took my hand, and we walked through to Resus we walked into the cubical my beautiful wife was lying there unconscious, beaten and covered in blood, I burst into tears again, and hugged Reece. "I can't lose her"

"You won't Shib, she's strong, she's going nowhere, we still have a lot of trouble to cause you and Marjorie"

I nodded and took hold of Viv's hand

"I know who did this.... it was Janice, she threatened me and my family"

Reece nodded "I'm just making a phone call" he walked out of the cubical.
