Chapter twelve

A quiet night

Vivian's POV

I'm still fucking fuming, how dare some scumbag try and lay a hand on our daughter, I'm so glad I taught her self-defense, she has ended up with a broken nose and two black eyes, she wasn't raped, I'm sitting outside by the pool, I have poured a glass of wine for myself and for Siobhan, she was just checking on the twins. My phone rang, I looked and it's Jamie.

V- "Hey mate, how's my grandson doing?"

J- "How's my little sis?"

V-" She is sporting a lovely broken nose and two black eyes, he tried to rape her Jay, because she turned him down"

J-" What the fuck mum"

V- "He had been harassing her for weeks, threatened to out her and her girlfriend to everyone"

J- "I told her she needed to speak to you both about Grace"

V- "You knew about them?"

J- "I saw them in the park one Saturday afternoon, Court asked me not to say anything, I told her she needed to speak to you and mom asap"

V-" Well it's all out in the open now, we have met Grace and her mum, they are both lovely, they are coming for supper on Wednesday"

J-" That's good"

V-" What were you ring for?"

J-" Just to let you know Em and Michael are home, and they are both fantastic"

V-" That's great news, mate make sure she rests, we will call in soon, you need to get into a routine with Michael"

J-" Okay mum, speak soon"

V-" Bye mate, see you soon"

Siobhan walked outside, she had changed out of her work clothes and into some jogging bottoms and one of my hoodies and she had tied her, hair in a ponytail, she only does this when she is feeling unwell, or if she is looking after one of us because we are ill. She came over and sat on my knee, for the first time this evening she let her guard down and started crying. She put her head on my shoulder and sobbed, I put my hand under the hoodie and stroked her back, this always soothed her.

"Hey babe"

"Courtney is scared she will try and kill herself again after today, we can't lose her Viv, we can't"

"We won't lose her, we know what to look for this time, plus she has Grace"

"Hmmm, I'm going to work from home tomorrow, so Courtney can rest"

"Okay, I have spoken with work I have taken leave for the rest of the week, I will be on days next week."

Siobhan rang Charlotte to let her know she would be working from home for the rest of the week, then we looked up and saw Reece and Marjorie walking over to us, Siobhan stayed on my knee, she nuzzled into my neck, just like Courtney does with her, she played with my hair.

"Eli told us what happened, how is our goddaughter?" asked Marjorie

"Tried, and sporting a broken nose and two black eyes"

"Did they get the bastard?" asked Reece

"Yes, he has been arrested"

"We are keeping Courtney off school for the rest of the week, are you okay to take Luis in?"

"That's no problem" replied Marjorie

"How did your evening with Ana go?" I asked

"Very well, her boyfriend is lovely and so are his family, we got everything out in the open, we are aware they are sexually active, and we want to make sure they are safe, so they will be allowed to spend time here, in the pool house, I'm not having them sneaking around again" Replied Reece

"I can get some condoms from work, contraception should be both of their responsibility, will Ana be going on the pill?" I asked

"Yes, I'm taking her the Dr's tomorrow to discuss everything" replied Marjorie

I realized that Siobhan has fallen asleep on my lap "I think I need to get someone to bed" I tell Reece and Marjorie

With Reece's help I stand up and head into the house, I carry Siobhan upstairs to our room, I gently lay her on the bed, and cover her up, she immediately lies on her side, so she is facing my side of the bed, I go and lock the house up, I check on Luis he has fallen asleep with his tv on so I switch it off, I check on Courtney, she is fast asleep, in Grace's hoodie, she looks just like Siobhan did all those years ago when we first met and she was still recovering from the abuse that Roger had done to her, I kissed my little girl on the top of her head, and I left her door open slightly. I walked back into the bedroom, I got changed into my pj's and I got into bed, I scooped Siobhan into my arms, she let out a sigh and nuzzled into my chest. I fell asleep.

Suddenly I was woken by Siobhan, she was shouting in her sleep, she had moved out of my arms and was now rolling around the bed "Get off me, please no, please no, Roger don't" she sat up in bed and started crying. I sat up next to her, I didn't touch her, I waited to see what she would do. She realized where she was, she was safe, she was with me, she moved so she was next to me "Can I put my arms around you?" I asked her

"Yes" she replied

I gently placed my arms around her and pulled her towards me "It's okay baby, he can't get you, you're safe here with me" I whisper in her ear

I can feel her relax again; we lay down in bed she looks at me, then she kisses me, I kiss her back, we spend the rest of the night sleeping on and off, kissing and cuddling, I didn't press her about her dream, she will tell me when she's ready.
