It was Halloween night, and the air was thick with excitement and a hint of mischief. All the top high school volleyball teams had been invited to a special Halloween event at an abandoned amusement park—an eerie yet festive location perfect for the spooky season. Teams from Karasuno, Nekoma, Aoba Johsai, Fukurodani, Inarizaki, and Shiratorizawa had arrived with friends and managers, each group dressed to impress in their Halloween costumes. The evening was set to be filled with haunted mazes, ghost stories, and a few tricks along the way.

Chapter 1: Arriving at the Park

One by one, each team and their friends gathered at the entrance, marveling at the creepy decorations. Spider webs hung from the rusted gates, bats and skeletons dangled from trees, and eerie music echoed from somewhere within the park. Karasuno's Yachi, dressed as a witch, clung nervously to Kiyoko, while Karasuno's players joked with each other to ease their own tension. Nekoma's crew arrived next, with Kuroo smirking confidently in his Suguru Niragi costume, while Kenma, dressed as Shuntaro Chishiya from Aib, looked around cautiously.

Aoba Johsai arrived with Oikawa dressed as a devil, Mei Sayaka as a sorceress, and Sayuri Takeda as a charming fairy. Inarizaki's team showed up shortly after, with Atsumu donning a pirate hat and Hana Matsuda and Sakura Yamamoto dressed as ghosts. Shiratorizawa's crew followed, with Ushijima as a warrior, Nao Taniguchi as a ghostly bride, and Mio Hoshino as a fortune-teller. Finally, Fukurodani arrived, led by Bokuto in his werewolf costume, with Akaashi as a wizard and Rina Yoshida as a playful pumpkin.

"Alright!" Bokuto's voice boomed, his werewolf fangs flashing as he grinned. "Let's get this haunted party started!"

Chapter 2: The Haunted Maze

The teams split into groups to tackle the haunted maze first. Karasuno, with Chiyo Hasegawa and Kiko Suzuki tagging along, led the way, trying to keep calm as fake spiders and skeletons popped out from hidden corners. Hinata and Kageyama bickered the whole way, their argument interrupted only by sudden scares that had Yachi jumping behind Tanaka and Nishinoya laughing in excitement.

Nekoma's group, with Rika Shimizu and Yuki Kobayashi in tow, followed suit. Kenma was predictably anxious about the maze but stuck close to his teammates. Kuroo couldn't help but tease Yuki, who shrieked at every scare, while Rika was more interested in keeping her camera ready to capture everyone's reactions.

The Aoba Johsai group went next, with Oikawa leading confidently—until a skeleton dropped from above, and he let out a yelp. Sayuri burst into laughter, while Mei smiled, secretly amused by Oikawa's jumpiness.

Chapter 3: Ghost Stories in the Abandoned Ferris Wheel

The teams reconvened by the abandoned Ferris wheel, where Shiratorizawa's Tendou eagerly offered to tell ghost stories. The players and their friends gathered around as Tendou spun tales of ghostly volleyball players who haunted empty gymnasiums, looking to reclaim their place on the court. His dramatic delivery had the group both laughing and shivering.

Nao and Mio exchanged knowing glances as Tendou got more intense, enjoying the opportunity to playfully spook the others. Even Ushijima, who rarely showed nerves, seemed to listen intently.

"Is that a... real ghost?" asked Mei, looking over Tendou's shoulder into the shadows, where a figure in a ragged cloak appeared to be watching them.

Everyone spun around, only to hear laughter as Bokuto jumped out from behind the Ferris wheel, having donned a spare cloak. "Gotcha!" he roared, basking in his successful scare as the others laughed and groaned in relief.

Chapter 4: The Tunnel of Terror

The Tunnel of Terror was the final challenge, and the teams went in pairs to maximize the scare factor. Karasuno's Kiyoko and Yachi were the first to brave the tunnel, with Hinata and Kageyama trailing close behind. As they walked, eerie sounds echoed through the darkness, and bats fluttered out, making everyone jump. Kageyama muttered something about how he wasn't afraid, only to yelp a second later when a ghostly figure passed through the tunnel.

Nekoma's Kenma reluctantly entered with Kuroo and Yuki, trying to brush off the fake cobwebs. The lights flickered, making their shadows dance on the walls, while Rika captured their reactions on her phone, adding her own dramatic narration.

Inarizaki's Atsumu and Hana found themselves unexpectedly teamed up with Shiratorizawa's Nao and Mio. Despite Atsumu's attempts to act nonchalant, he clearly wasn't immune to the jump scares, and Mio caught him flinching a few times, chuckling under her breath.

Chapter 5: The Finale—Pumpkin Carving Contest

After the haunted attractions, everyone gathered around a bonfire to unwind. They set up a pumpkin carving contest with a twist: each team had to carve their design while blindfolded. Laughter echoed as Karasuno's Tanaka tried his best but accidentally carved more of the table than the pumpkin. Nekoma's Kenma created a simple yet charming cat face, which earned cheers from the group.

Oikawa attempted a detailed rendition of a volleyball on his pumpkin, but Mei and Sayuri couldn't help laughing at the final result, which looked more like a squished spider. Ushijima's pumpkin, on the other hand, was surprisingly well-carved, sporting a stoic face that seemed just as intense as his usual expression.

Chapter 6: Halloween Dance Party

With pumpkins carved and scares enjoyed, the night ended with a dance party under the stars. Music played, and players who were usually intense and focused on the court let loose. Kiyoko and Yachi danced along with Hinata, Natsumi, and Ami, while Atsumu and Sakusa showed off ridiculous moves, much to the amusement of their teammates. Tendou and Rina started a conga line, dragging everyone into the fun, and soon the entire group was laughing and dancing together.

Even the normally reserved Shiratorizawa team joined in, with Nao pulling Ushijima onto the makeshift dance floor. Oikawa twirled Mei dramatically, while Akaashi and Rina showed off some well-coordinated moves they'd practiced just for the occasion. As the music played on, they forgot about their rivalry and enjoyed each other's company.

Epilogue: A Night to Remember

As midnight approached, the teams began to say their goodbyes. Despite being from rival schools, they all agreed that this Halloween bash had been unforgettable. With memories of scares, laughter, and ridiculous costumes, they returned home, already planning for next year's Halloween event.

Standing at the entrance of the park, Ushijima and Bokuto shook hands in a rare display of camaraderie. "Until next year," Ushijima said with a nod.

Bokuto grinned, baring his fake werewolf fangs one last time. "Next year, let's make it even scarier!"
