So, that's our story.

I hope you liked the POV switch in the middle.

I certainly liked reading what a certain lovely soda butti thought that whole time.

So did I, my love, my Miss Shorty.

What happened next, some, or maybe one of you may ask?

We'd like to think we live happily ever after, but we don't know what the future holds.

All we can do is face this life with all its crappiness and beauty together (together).

But if you wanted to know a little more, here's a snippet right after what happened, brought to you by my wonderful Karthik.

Why thank you my shorty Shreya.

And you can see he is still annoying.

But you love me.

And I love you.

And I love you too.

---

We pulled back and I laid my forehead on hers, "You didn't mind the list?"

"No. It was very sweet and I'm happy you know excel enough to do that," she said cheekily.

I shook my head and chuckled.

"Do you want to share the brownies with me?" I asked as I went to grab some forks.

"Sure," she said with a smile. "I hope you like it, though," she said a little nervously.

I kissed her cheek and said, "I'm sure I will."

She kept watching me as I took a bite of the brownies.

And dang.

I am very picky about brownies. It can't be too fudgy, and it can't be too cakey, and it has to have three kinds of chocolate on it, one in the batter, one in the chocolate chips and then a chocolate ganache on top of it.

And she nailed all of it.

"How was it?" she asked.

"To borrow your compliment," I hit my fist on the table, "It's exceptional!"

She chuckled, "I'm glad you do."

As she took a bite from her piece she looked at me, "Uh, can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Why 'a pro of not having me' is you becoming your grandfather's favourite again?"

"He thinks you're lovelier than me."

"He does?" she said touched.

"Yes, he does, Grandpa stealer," I pouted.

She chuckled, "Well, tell him I said thank you."

"Tell Roger yourself that."

"What?"

"Roger's my grandad,"

"WHAT?"

After explaining it to her, she sighed in relief.

That's an odd reaction. So, I asked her.

"I thought we were in another weird fantasy/sci-fi experience again," she said, "Thankfully, it was just you two being oddballs."

"Hey."

"Which I love about you," she added.

When did she become this smooth?

It must have been shown in my expression when she chuckled.

I narrowed my eyes at her playfully, while she smiled proudly.

I shook my head and asked, "When did you experience his oddballness?"

"Oh, last week. When I asked for his help to try out the brownies."

"And you gave him food? He's gonna think you're even lovelier now. You grandpa stealer."

"What about you, huh? Mina can't stop gushing about how sweet you are!

"Aw, she does?"

"Yes," she groaned.

I kissed her cheek and said, "Now, Miss Lovely, shall we go watch the play?"

She chuckled and said, "Yes, Mr. Sweetheart."
