I walk with Chyenne and the rest of the patrol back to the village, wondering if she's thinking of what happened with us last night. I close my eyes briefly and I can see her and feel her and hay dios mio, yo quiero.

Mikaela elbows my arm lightly, and I open my eyes quickly, looking at her. "Hmm?"

"What happened?" She says studying my face.

"What are you talking about?" I say, confused.

"There's something different about you." She says, narrowing her eyes. "You're different. So is she." She nods her head to where Chyenne is whispering with Eliza-Mary five feet in front of us.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I say, unable to stop the blush creeping up my cheeks, and turn away.

Out of the corner of my eye I watch her glance between me and Chy multiple times before she gasps. "Holy crap! No way!"

"Shhh! Shut up!" I whisper, covering her hand with my mouth before anybody else can hear her. "Kaela shush, my father!"

She pulls my hand off and looks at me, a giddy expression on her face. "You two mated, didn't you." She says. "Didn't you?"

I roll my eyes, nodding. "Yes, now please, quiet down before my father hears you."

"Where did you guys, you know?" Saemus whispers, dropping back and lowering his voice.

I growl and look at Kaela. "You had to say something?"

"Empathy link doesn't count. And neither do I," Saemus says grinning. "I'm shocked you've forgotten your own rules."

I shake my head, trying not to smile. "Shut up, Sae." I laugh.

He punches. "So you've officially mated huh?"

I nod and stare straight ahead. "Obviously."

Was it good?  He asks me through the link. My mum said  its the best feeling in the world.

Again, I look at Chyenne and I smile lightly. It was perfect.

She's perfect. I think to myself, running forward to catch up with her. She smiles at me, reaching up to kiss my cheek, and I hold her hand as we walk the rest of the way to the village.

Everyone splits up on the path, leaving Chyenne and I alone with Saemus and his cousin.

"Congrats, love." Sae says, kissing her on the head. "I want to be remembered in the wedding."

"You know." Chyenne says, sounding not at all shocked.

Kaela nods. "Congratulations, guys." She says. "But you both might want to wash up before you end up around Alpha, because he'll be able to smell it on you."

Chyenne looks at me. "I'll see you for breakfast, right?"

"Of course my love." I kiss her hand. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

She smiles at me, hugs Sae, nods at Mikaela and takes off toward her house and I slip my hands into y pockets as my two friends walk me to my walkway.

"You're lucky, J." Sae says after Mikaela says goodbye and runs toward her mates house. "Most of the guys would kill for her to mate them."

I nod, thinking about last night again. "I know. But its not luck, Sae."

"Oh yeah, what is it then?"

I glance towards Chyennes house and I pat him on the shoulder before I walk up to my door. "Love."
