Ellana's POV

I looked around the small room, I was still wearing Jacob's shirt, in the corner on a small dresser was my dress and my heels, and beside them, was Jacob's jacket.

I had completely forgotten to give it back to him last night. I looked at my phone, checking the time, 5:47. 'I wonder if he's still in his room' I thought to myself, I didn't want to stay too long, as I'm sure Boomer is missing me, but I wanted to make sure to give his jacket back and to say goodbye.

I opened one of the drawers of the dresser, crossing my fingers and hoping I would find something so I didn't have to do the walk of shame out of this place in my dress and heels.

By some miracle I was able to find some old white sweatpants with the Eden's Gate logo on it, I threw them on without a second thought, i didn't find a shirt but I figured Jacob wouldn't mind if I kept his, his family is rich after all, he can buy a new one. I looked around the room a little more and found a pair of dirty white shoes and put those on as well.

I folded my dress, as well as Jacob's jacket and walked out of the room and across the hall, I balled up my fist and lifted it, knocking gently on the door, a few seconds passed and I didn't hear any movements on the other side.

'He's probably been up for a while now, maybe he's training' I thought to myself before walking down the hall and down the stairs.

I walked past many Peggie's on my way to the training grounds, none of them gave me a second glance or spoke to me, except for the occasional good morning.

I walked towards the training grounds where I could see Jacob standing with his arms crossed.

I started to make my way over when my path was blocked by a woman, she was pretty with blonde hair in a high tight ponytail, "sinner" she spoke as she glared daggers at me.

"Excuse me?" I said, taking a step towards her "you got something you wanna say to me blondie?".

She smirked "he doesn't want you, you're a sinning whore, personally I hope he puts you in the trials next" she smirked.

'The trials? That's the second time I heard someone mention them, what are they?' I thought to myself. "Sounds like you're jealous. you like him, don't you? Sad that he doesn't like you back, isn't it?" She shifted uncomfortably at my words, I could tell I struck a nerve.

Right as she opened her mouth to speak, I saw Jacob walking up behind her "Jacob, good morning!" I said cheerfully, wanting to get under her skin.

She immediately snapped to look at him and straightened her posture "Jacob? I-I mean sir!" She bowed her head, not making eye contact.

Jacob didn't look at the blonde, he just stared at me "leave us". The woman looked offended at his words, and if a look could kill, I would have dropped dead in that very moment, without a word she spun on her heel and sped walked away.

Jacob looked me up and down "nice shirt" he smirked. I held his jacket out for him to take, which he did "I just wanted to give you your jacket, and to tell you I was gonna head out" he didn't say anything and just raised an eyebrow "well, bye I guess" I said awkwardly.

"Goodbye Sgt. Moore" he smirked at me, putting his jacket on.

I gave him an awkward wave and turned around to leave.

As I got to my truck and reached for the handle, I paused, I could hear something "music?" I said quietly, quickly recognizing the song to be 'Only You'. I looked around trying to figure out where it was coming from.

After a quick scan of my surroundings, I pinpointed the location of the music, it was coming from an open window on what looked to be the third floor of The Center.
