After blowing the lead a few days ago, the Colgate Raiders head to Ithaca, New York to play the number one nationally ranked Cornell Big Red in front of a capacity crowd at Lynah Rink. With 10:19 left in the first period, Rodger Craig scored to make it 1-0 Cornell. With 49 seconds left in the first period, Joakim Ryan scored to make it 2-0 Big Red. Alex Evin and Andy Iles matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Cornell leads 2-0 heading to the second period. With 4:16 left in the second period, Joel Lowry scored to make it 3-0 Red. Coach Starr pulled Alex Evin out of the net and so, Ken Baker finished the game in net for the Colgate Raiders. With 2:42 left in the second period, Ethan Cox scored to make it 3-1 Cornell. Baker and Iles matched zeros for the remainder of period number two so Cornell maintains their 3-1 lead heading to a crucial third period. With 12 minutes left in the third period, David McKenzie scored to make it 3-2 Big Red. With 48 seconds left in the third period, Gary Mitchell scored to tie the game 3-3. Baker and Iles matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so 3-3 remains the score betwixt two bitter rivals heading to extra hockey for the eleventh time this season for Colgate. Baker and Iles matched zeros in overtime so we'll skate to a 3-3, overtime tie. Colgate shifted to 12-8-4 on the season and 6-3-3 in ECAC Hockey play.
