On April 12,2013, Colgate freshman forward Mike Harder was named the winner of the Hobey Baker Award for his character and production on and off the ice. Harder has put the puck in the net at a pretty good rate and has been passing the puck to his teammates and line mates for the majority of the season and Colgate has their first Hobey Baker Award in program history. Colgate will now have to shift their attention to the national championship game against the Denver Pioneers as Colgate will look to come full circle from 1990!
The Colgate Raiders are now on the cusp of a national championship for the first time in school history and Mike Harder will look to lead Colgate to its first natty in program history. Harder's odyssey to the Hobey Baker Award should come as no surprise because he was the captain of this Colgate team that heads into Saturday's national championship game with a lot of optimism about their opportunity. So, can Colgate win a national championship like Mike Harder won the Hobey Baker Award? Find out as we conclude season one of this story!
