After a horrendous loss last Saturday, the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink to play the Rensselaer Engineers as they jockeying for position continues in college hockey. With 14:06 left in the first period, Brock Higgs scored to make it 1-0 Rensselaer. With 8:12 left in the first period, Edward Poole scored to tie the game 1-1. Alex Evin and Jason Kasdorf matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to period number two. With 8:20 left in the second period, Mark McGowan scored to make it 2-1 Engineers. With 6:41 left in the second period, Ethan Cox scored to tie the game 2-2. Evin and Kasdorf matched zeros for the remainder of the second period so we remain tied at 2 heading to period number three. With 13:18 left in the third period, Eugene Murphy scored to make it 3-2 Colgate. With 11 seconds left in the third period, Steve Riggs scored an empty net goal to make it 4-2 Raiders! Alex Evin finished off the Engineers and Colgate wins 4-2! Colgate improved to 15-9-4 on the season and 9-4-3 in ECAC Hockey play!
