After pulling away in the third period last night, the Colgate Raiders search for the weekend sweep against the Harvard Crimson with a win on Saturday night at Starr Rink. With 10:40 left in the first period, Alex Fallstrom scored to make it 1-0 in favor of Coach Donato's Crimson. With 6:20 left in the first period, Ethan Cox scored to tie the game 1-1. Alex Evin and Raphael Girard matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to the second period. With 12:04 left in the second period, Mike Borkowski scored to make it 2-1 Raiders. With 8:29 left in the second period, David McKenzie scored to make it 3-1 Hamiltonians. Evin and Girard matched zeros for the reminder of the middle stanza so Colgate remains ahead 3-1 heading to period number three. With 4:21 left in the third period, Rodney Powell scored to make it 4-1 Colgate. With 26 seconds left in the third period, Corbin McPherson scored to make it 5-1 Raiders! Alex Evin finished off the Crimson and Colgate wins and advances by a final of 5-1! Colgate will look to advance to Lake Placid with a series victory next weekend!
