After a brilliant win last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink hoping for a weekend sweep of the capital region with a win tonight over Union College. With 12:47 left in the first period, Matt Wilkins scored to make it 1-0 Union. With 10:40 left in the first period, Mike Harder scored to tie the game 1-1. David Gagnon and Colin Stevens matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to the second period. With 4:40 left in the second period, Shayne Gostisbehere scored to make it 2-1 Union. With 1:16 left in the second period, Mat Bodie scored to make it 3-1 Union College. Gagnon and Stevens matched zeros for the remainder of the second period so Union leads 3-1 heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 13:03 left in the third period, David McKenzie scored to 3-2 Union College. With 47 seconds left in the third period, Brad Dexter scored to tie the game 3-3. Gagnon and Stevens matched zeros for the remainder of regulation time so 3-3 remains our score heading to a winner take all overtime. Gagnon and Stevens matched zeros in overtime so we'll skate to a 3-3,overtime tie. Colgate shifted to 15-9-5 on the season and 9-4-4 in ECAC Hockey play.
