Autumn has been really
exhausting this year.

Even in late September it had
still been close to 35°C every day
in Tokyo, making the train stations
and the trains basically the only
bearable places when going outside.

But now since the beginning
of October, the weather
has suddenly turned.

From one day to another the
temperatures had dropped,
it was windy, raining and often
even quite stormy whenever
Kenma would push the curtains
in his room aside to observe how
his neighbor's bamboo bush fought
the extreme weather.

Considering all these circumstances
it wasn't much of a surprise that
he eventually fell sick.

A soft knock on the door to his
room made him groan, every
little noise felt like someone was
hammering on his head.

“Hey kitten.”

A wild Kuroo appeared with
his signature smirk, telling his
boyfriend that he was up to
some mischief again.

“Your mom said you were sick
and to bring you some fruits..
But I got your favorite snacks,
don't tell her.”

The ravenette chuckled to himself
as he dumped the bag full of different
snacks on the younger's bed but
only when he noticed the lack of
reaction (even more lacking than
normal), his smile turned
into a frown.

Sure, Mrs Kozume had told him
that Kenma was not feeling well
but he hadn't expected his boyfriend
to look like a tiny, abandoned kitten
curled up under his blanket with
a flushed face and teary eyes.

“You're too loud..”

The pudding head croaked softly,
eyes mostly staying closed due to
the fact that looking at his room
light made him feel dizzy.

“Sorry, kitten.
I didn't know it was this bad...”

Kenma could feel the mattress
dip slightly on his left side, telling
him his boyfriend had just sat down
and carefully intertwined their hands
when he felt Tetsuro's hand
grab his hesitantly.

He had always somehow liked
their size difference, his rather
small hands fit perfectly in the
older's hands and just in general
it was so nice to have a tall
boyfriend who could wrap
himself completely around
your small body.

“You know.. It really sucks that I..
I can't even play any games because
I get so dizzy just from
moving my head.”.

Kenma pouted softly, making
his loved one coo silently.

“You should rest, that's what
your body is telling you.”

He'd have loved to complain,
to argue that this wasn't really
comforting but the blonde knew
that Kuroo was right.

“Have you eaten something?
And have you had some tea?
Tea always helps.. I think..”

“No and yeah.. I threw up this
morning so I don't feel like eating.
My mom made me some tea though.”
