“What are you playing there?
Isn't it a bit too.. cute for you?”

Yaku asked as he looked over
Kenma's shoulder to get a
good view of his Switch.

“I decided that it was time to start
playing something child friendly.
My doctor said the baby can hear
even things from the outside now.
Not only my stupid talking
and heartbeat.”

“Oh. That's interesting.”

But the blonde only hummed
as he continued his game,
not wanting to admit that
fishing in animal crossing had
kinda turned into his
new obsession.

“Doesn't that mean the baby
doesn't sleep as much anymore
because it's too loud?”

“Hm. I don't think so.
They're normally only awake
in the evening and sometimes
after lunch.”

“Do you think they recognize voices?
I mean, they probably know
your voice by now but..”

“They know Kuroo's voice.”

“Really?”

“Mhm. Baby gets more active
when Kuroo talks to them.”

“So they know their dad.
Kinda cute.”

Kenma didn't really want to
reveal it, he didn't want to talk
about how cute he found it when his
boyfriend would talk to their baby.

It had become the older's most
favorite thing to do while cuddling
with the pudding head.

While Kenma would play something
on his Switch before going to sleep,
Kuroo would always take his sweet
time to play with their baby and
to talk to them when he
was staying over.

Lately it felt like their mini
human bean was just waiting for
their dad to give them attention so
they could go in full play mode.

At least that's what Kenma had
observed when his child would
kick him in the ribs out of pure
excitement when they heard
their dad talk to them.

“You don't know the
gender yet, right?”

“Nope, we don't want to know.
It'll be a surprise.”

“Ah, that makes sense.”

And since the blonde honestly
didn't know what to reply to that,
he turned his focus back on his
Switch in hope that the time
would pass faster like this.

They were only halfway through
practice but Kenma was not only
getting uncomfortable on the
hard wooden bench, he was
kinda starving too.

“Kitten.”

“Hm?”

He looked back up at the voice
of his boyfriend and tilted his
head with a pout.

“You okay?
You look a bit unhappy.”

“I am. I'm so hungry.”
