“Yo Kuroo! I'm still waiting
for the party invitation!”
A wild and very loud Bokuto
appeared, followed by a less
enthusiastic Akaashi who just
waved slightly when Kuroo stared
at them with surprised eyes.
“Party?”
“It's your birthday next week, dude.
You're turning 18?”
Right, how could he forget about that.
Thanks to all the baby chaos,
he had completely forgotten
that his own birthday was
right around the corner.
“Ah, right. No party though,
I'm spending the day with Kenma.”
“Right, right.
The special birthday present.”
Bokuto wriggled his eyebrows
with a stupid grin on his face.
“You know, when I turned 18,
Akaashi surprised me with-
Ow! Akaashi! That hurt!”
“Serves you right, stupid.
He doesn't need to know everything.”
But Bokuto only pouted at his
boyfriend like a scolded child.
“So you're not celebrating
with friends at all?”
“At least not on my birthday.
Maybe the next day.
My birthday's on a Saturday, so..”
“Are you going to invite Tsukki?”
“As if he'd come.
Even if he'd live next to me,
he wouldn't come.”
Kuroo chuckled at the absurd
question and the even more
absurd imagination of Tsukishima
rocking the dance floor.
“Hm..
But your team will be there, right?”
“I really don't know yet,
I haven't made any proper plans
at all and I don't even know if I
want to throw a party.”
“Say no more, my friend!
I'll take you out for your first
drink then! Your bestie's got you.”
Bokuto grinned as he wrapped
his arm over Kuroo's shoulder.
And Akaashi only shrugged when
the ravenette helplessly looked
at the youngest boy.
“Kuroo?”
“Hm?”
It was already dark outside as the
two boys made their way back
home from school, their hands
intertwined and swinging softly
between them.
Kenma had waited for his
boyfriend to finish practice but
had purposely waited upstairs on
the grandstand to avoid getting
weird baby questions
from Lev again.
It was slowly getting out of hand.
“I wondered for quite a while now..
Do you know anyone who also has
or had a baby at our age?”
